Great hotel Really enjoyed our stay. Our dog could stay in our room as long as she was in her crate. Pool was great, staff were very friendly from booking to check out. The tub taps are just plain goofy, and the step in was too high to be safe. I would recommend

Not good We were not impressed when we arrived at the Sandman Hotel in Quesnel. The location is out of town and it seemed like the hotel was undergoing a bit of a refurbishment. The number plaque for our room was on the floor outside the room propped up on the dirty walls that had wallpaper half scraped off. The room itself was dull with confusing facilities as there was a big fridge and a microwave but no cups or kettle or coffee machine! There was an ice bucket but no glasses to drink out of! The table and chairs in the room were like those you would find in a transport café. Thankfully the bathroom was fully functional and clean. I went to reception - the lady was really kind and gave us some paper cups. She said that from 5am there would be complimentary tea and coffee available in the foyer. There was no bar in the hotel - food and soft drinks could be purchased from the adjoining Denny's. We were shocked that this is the hotel that the Rocky Mountaineer company put their guests in.

Sandman Quesnel I’m so disappointed in the Sandman in Quesnel, the room was dirty, the carpet and very worn furniture, black mold in the bathroom. I expect more when travelling. The front desk staff are friendly during check in. Will not stay at the Sandman in Quesnel again you can get better value for your money in Prince George.

Can't wait to see this after the renovations This hotel is undergoing some major renovations so keep that in mind. When I stayed here, the room I had was not yet updated. So, like other reviewers, I shared the same experience of a tired room which could have used a lot of TLC. As the condition of the unrenovated rooms are not the fault of the staff, I would say service here is excellent. The GM, Brent is amazing and makes everyone feel welcome and cared for. If I go back to Quesnel, I would give this property another go and would be very curious to see the state of the newly renovated guest rooms.

Fantastic Service Super friendly service right from the check in. Even though they are dealing with a huge renovation, everyone was so helpful. The Manager, Brent even stopped to checked in on us! It will be terrific to see the completed new rooms. Definitely will be back!
