All around A-OK, mailed a book back We were in town so that our daughter could compete in the Science Olympiad at NC State. Overall the hotel was clean, well located (to both downtown, restaurants, Pullen Park and the University). It felt safe, abundant parking (it shared a parking lot with Sams Club, so filling up gas was easy on the way home). We had a room with a king bed, pull out couch and a hot tub in the room. Everything worked, although we had to go downstairs to get the sheets for the pull out couch, but no big deal. Breakfast was typical for such a hotel. I'd rate it as 3-4 starts under normal circumstances, nothing fancy but nothing wrong, good location, so maybe 4 starts. But, my wife left a book in the room and the hotel mailed it back to us, which was very kind, so 5 stars today. Thanks!

Disappointed There were bugs in the bathroom, there was a hole in the bathroom door, looks like someone punched it. The desk chair had a big rip in it, the lamp shade was ripped. The breakfast was terrible. I let served cereal and make your own waffle. The hot water thermos was tepid and must have previously been used for coffee that wasn't completely washed out. The water was light brown. The women at the desk were very nice. We had stayed there a little over a year ago and it was not like it was this weekend. We will not be going back.

Needs some TLC Needs lots of upgrades and it wasn't as clean either. The rooms weren't so bad but the common areas definitely needs lots of attention. It didn't look so safe on the surroundings areas either. I did not like my stay there at all.

Should try elsewhere. The hotel had a good location and staff was friendly. Had two rooms for 4 of us attending local concert. The rooms were absolutely filthy. Hair everywhere in the bathrooms. Pee dried on floor. Stains from who knows what around rooms. Holes in the walls. Appeared that the only cleaning done was the bed sheets were changed between guests, nothing else was touched. Found several roaches in one of the two rooms.

Filthy and gloomy Overall, this hotel could use a good cleaning. Our room smelt clean, but I also think it isn’t a room often rented out because it had a jacuzzi in it. The outside was poorly lit for night time, and there is so much trash laying around. The breakfast was terrible. Some refrigerated biscuits, cereal, and waffles. The lobby always seemed gloomy while we were there. Just not the same experience we typically get with quality inn!
