Tired and Outdated Hotel The large suite room 404 that we checked into was tired, outdated, and badly needed attention. The bathroom tile had cracks and some sloppily applied grout. The room and the corridor had a musty smell. The sleeper sofa was torn. The doors and furniture in the suite were totally outdated. This hotel very much requires a complete refresh. The air-conditioner was functional but aesthetically, it was a sore sight. It was obvious that the furniture was never updated, and it probably dates back to more than a couple of decades. As a Platinum Elite member, I've stayed in excellent Holiday Inn Express hotels. Unfortunately, this hotel leaves much to be desired. We vacated our room immediately and returned the keys to the front desk, without staying at this hotel.

Comfortable and convenient I’ve stayed here several times when visiting Richmond and have consistently had positive experiences. The hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Also, shoutout to Raja! He was helpful and made check-in a breeze during my most recent stay!

A value priced hotel Price commends this Holiday Inn. Nearby hotels are quite expensive. However, and as the case with other nearby hotels, there is little in better restaurants and coffee shops within a short walking distance and as the area is full of parking lots a bit lonely for walking. Parking lot is convenient on the first and second floors of the building. Hotel is okay in decor, somewhat dated and tired. But the rooms are a nice size and the housekeeping staff keeps them tidy and stocked. Air conditioning certainly worked. Breakfast provides calories but at least it is offered.

Perfect Stay! The staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, I was checked in by John who had a line and all of his check ins were spot on service, a housekeeper whos smile took up her entire lovely face and then checked out with another gentleman on second shift who was just as friendly. The room was perfectly clean and maintenanced! The view was great and the price unbeatable. We make this trip every year and had previously stayed at airbnbs who's pricing and fees are very sneaky. This will be our new stop!

Worst, nastiest place Ive ever been. DISGUSTING AND THE ABSOLUTELY MOST HORRIBLE PLACE IVE EVER STAYED! Stayed in room 512 in Richmond, VA. I'm not even sure where to start - this is the LEAST handicapped friendly place I've ever been. First you get zapped $15 a day to park in their parking structure that's ceilings are so low you wait for the roof of the car to hit the entire time THEN you're stuck paying $30 for parking because you stayed overnight and it's a new day. The parking is NOT clearly marked and is filthy on top of the over abundance of signs stating they are NOT responsible for your vehicle, belongings or anything that happens to them. The elevator (one was out of service and barracaded off) drops a couple inches down so it's completely impossible to get a wheelchair in and out and I was forced to prop myself up in the elevator which is also filthy and makes you use your door key to operate it (one of our keys didnt work). The elevator repair people came and stated to us after seeing how much issue we had getting on and off that the elevator was not to CODE and was supposed to have a tilt NOT drop a couple inches. There was hair in the ice bucket, no towels or trash bags, the counters were dirty and covered with dust, trash on the floor, the refrigerator was turned off, the AC didnt work with the thermostat and the toilet tilted pretty violently when you sat down or got up making you think you were about to land on the floor where you got a great view of the build up of skank that needs cleaned off of the toilet. Breakfast was sausage gravy, sausage and omelets with green pepper - since Im allergic to sausage and green pepper - I left hungry. There are no carts to assist you (or employees) in getting things to and from your car/room to your car or room. Ordered instacart since the frig wasnt cold and they left the bags sitting on a random table in the lobby stating that they arent allowed to come up to deliver. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOLIDAY EXPRESS AGAIN.
