Really Needs Updating I have stayed here in years past but the property has really run down and needs a refresh and repairs. Clerk who checked me in was friendly and helpful. Heading to my room the need for paint and cleaning was obvious. Hand rails on stairs were dirty and the carpets looked bad. My room had a slight odor but not enough to disturb my stay. Pool is permanently closed and there is no elevator. On top of this wheelchair access would be a problem given the lack of a ramp at the side exit. There is a curb cut at the bottom on one of the staircases (why?). The stairs leaving my room were crumbling. Debis made it hazardous. Breakfast was packaged snacks (not particularly healthy). I stayed here because of the price but will not again.

No elevator, old motel. NO ELEVATOR should be disclosed in the app before making nonrefundable reservations. Old motel with internet speeds at 5.5, not exaggerating!! Strong air freshener covers moldy odors, beware if you get headaches from overwhelming fragrances. The biggest trouble is the lack of working internet speed and the odor from overuse of air freshener.

Extremely Disappointed This website is neither current or accurate. I booked a night here specifically to use the lovely amenities advertised for medical reasons & I was told the pool & spa had been closed since 2020. I did not stay at this establishment & had to book a last minute room elsewhere. My reservation said non-refundable & when I called the customer service number for gosplitty.com it rang & rang with no answer. The hotel front desk clerk said they have been trying to get it changed on various travel sites with no help. I am annoyed, frustrated & am in the process of trying to request a refund, despite what the confirmation says, due to false advertising & the time and money this has cost me.

They Tried---But heater issues Well, I guess overall this was an average place to stay for this level of hotel, but in our room the heater did not want to work for a long time and when it did it was "barely." The management was super nice and tried to accomodate with a electric floor heater. They offered an upstairs room, but we already settled into our downstairs room and no elevator with my 81 year old mother. So it was what it was. Bathroom super small. Beds okay. Just non comfortable sleep with outside temps at 20 degrees and noisy heater that didn't heat.

Do not stay here. No circles rating if I could. After booking a hotel here 9 months prior to the balloon festival we were contacted 2 months ago to tell us they were renovating and rooms were no longer available. They gave us a few other options but all were triple or quadruple what we had booked for in Jan before the October festival. We have contacted them recently and wow, they have availability at more than double what we were quoted in January. I believe the renovations story was just that and they knew they could get much more for the rooms. Choice Hotels has been of no assistance, only saying each property is individually owned and operated. They told us to contact the owner and we did try several times with no response! I will no longer stay at ANY Choice Hotel property. Ourselves and our 2 other sets of friends are without accommodations without paying an arm and leg. Do NOT book this hotel if it’s for anything important because they will likely cancel on you!!!
