It is what it is: a dumpy old hotel AC not running in the lobby. check-in clerk hiding behind a security screen, AC not on in the room, no coffee in the room, breakfast was a sad little pile of packaged sticky buns and stale coffee. This place is a dumpy old hotel that, TBH, doesn't even try to be anything else.

Disgusting Beds Room smelled like smoke and must, checked the beds and there were brown stains everywhere. They gave us a different room which also had the same results. They gave us the hardest time about trying to get a refund and basically said “sorry” about the dirty beds and that’s it; didn’t even offer to clean them or anything.

Terrible hotel Where do I begin. Let's just make a list for those who are looking at this hotel. 1. Staff was indifferent 2.Both rooms I was in smelled of smoke 3. Carpets throughout are disgusting. 4. Pool was not open, even though it was listed as an amenity 5.No coffee maker in the room, even though it was listed as an amenity 6. Breakfast is sugary cereal, prepackaged muffins, waffles, coffee that tastes like dirt 7. The smoke detector in my second room was missing. 8. Neither bed had bug covers and had stains on the bottom sheet 9. All the furniture needs to be replaced 10. I was terrified I would bring bed bugs back to my home (That happened from another hotel, prior to this visit) 11.Someone parked in the handicapped blocked space next to my car. Making it hard to get in the vehicle. They did not have a handicapped placard or Disability plates. 12. Some woman made a huge scene in front of the hotel with her companion as they left. 13. The bathroom tub drain was clogged and the floors were dirty I was totally embarrassed to bring family to this place while I visited the area.

The smell is a combination of mildew and garlic! I have to agree with other reviewers that this place is a total dump. They are remodeling but they should have remodeled some rooms for rent before they started taking reservations. The place is VERY dirty and run down. The elevator doesn’t open properly. The walls in my room were dirty, pictures missing, drapes partially hanging loose on the windows. But the worst part was the awful smell of mildew, garlic, and Fabuloso. All mixed together it was enough to make me gag as I walked down the hallway. I’ll never book this one again. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else in Romeoville.

Disgusting stay away! Just do yourself a favor. Spend the money to stay elsewhere. The hotel as a whole was disgusting, needs some serious updating, and don’t get me started on the room. Terrible experience overall. I didn’t even stay the night, I paid the extra to stay at a neighboring hotel.
