Passable if you're just passing through. My Husband and I stayed here for one night while in the area and it was...okay. The location is great - very close to everything in Roseville. There was EV charging a very short, easy drive away. The hipster guy at the front desk at night was very friendly. At first glance, place seemed clean enough but we quickly started noticing things. The phone was filthy - it looked like coffee had been spilled on it and never cleaned up. We found dried kiddie vegetables on the curtain. There was a hair, not ours, in the bed when we turned it down, and when we laid down to sleep, we noticed how absolutely filthy the ceiling fan was (luckily we couldn't reach the cord easily to turn it on). The pool and hot tub are enjoyable but....there was all this white stuff floating in both of them. The surface of the hot tub was so scratchy that my Husband actually scratched his legs up just sitting down in it. The rough surface will ruin a bathing suit for sure. Having a half basketball court and place to bbq are nice touches and the hotel does feel out of the way enough that it doesn't feel like you're enjoying your recreation time on a big street or anything. The mornings free breakfast was remarkable and included way more stuff than we could have imagined. That was a big plus. For me - cleanliness is the most important thing in a hotel and at the end of the day, this was passable for one night by my standards, but I do think more attention needs to be paid. And you MUST be careful if getting into the hot tub and my husbands scratched calves are still healing a week later.

be careful if you pay in advance! it may be much higher rate. This review isn't about this specific hotel, where we stayed, but is more about a pricing issue by the parent company. The hotel was fine, and the staff was polite. They were unable to resolve this issue. The problem was that we were charged $387 for the room, and it was not worth anything close to that price. I wanted to share this as a cautionary tale for others. Several months ago, planning for a family wedding in Sacramento in June, I reserved and paid for in advance a two queen room at the Homewood Suites, Roseville. We stayed there this past Saturday night, June 15th, I was stunned and disturbed to find out that my advance payment rate was about $200 more than if I had simply reserved it on line through Expedia or just reserved it without paying in advance through Hilton Honors. The prepaid charge- $378.07; Hilton charge if I reserved today for this Saturday- $269. if I go on Expedia--$182. To some extent, it was my own fault, because it clearly stated this was a non-refundable fee. so I am warning others by my error. It seems unconscionable to charge people MORE if they pay in advance. I think, at the minimum, the hotel should inform customers that the reserved and paid in advance rate is far more than the normal rate.

General Manager, Max, is incredibly aggressive. The General manager, Max, is the rudest and most confrontational person I’ve ever experienced in hospitality. He inserted himself into a situation he wasn’t a part of, proceeded to escalate things, gave us false information then proceeded to threaten to kick us out and cancel the reservation when we weren’t even arguing and were still trying to understand and resolve what was going on peacefully. His involvement caused the situation to spiral out of control and the only saving grace was the front desk person that we had originally been speaking with, Akilho, who was visibly uncomfortable and trying to calm his manager down. Akilho apologized profusely many many times for everything after. Definitely was not his fault. For clarification, we were there for a wedding and due to the room block had two separate reservations. Apparently that means we had to check out and check in again, which we were not informed of. Which is fine, not their fault, but the person who booked the reservation was not there and wouldn’t be back for 45 min. All that was needed to be said was “we need a credit card on file from anyone who’s name is on the reservation” which would have been clear had Max not inserted himself and started spouting off aggressive nonsense. Absolutely would not recommend staying here if he’s the General Manager.

Don't Believe All The Negative Reviews! Had A Great Experience! Our stay was a perfect overnight stay. Their check-in is at 3 pm (earlier than usual) and check-out is at 4 pm (later than usual). The hotel was sold out for the night but didn't feel like it. There was plenty of seating at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! We had a studio queen room. So the room felt spacious and it was nice to have a kitchenette and seating and tables in the room. I would stay here again and again!
