Comfortable stay close to Salt Lake airport Recently I stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham, Salt Lake City Airport. Everything was ready for us, we had a relaxing, comfortable stay. It provided a good start to a family-and-friends visiting vacation.

Trucker hotel near SLC airport away from anything else This hotel is adequate for truckers, but lacking for an airport hotel. The shuttle from the airport fits 4 people without much luggage. The location is remote with the only walking distance food options being one dirty restaurant that looked dirty and the Hilton restaurant next door which is like a diner. Everything inside is old and worn out including the elevator. The room smells old, but the bed was clean. The front desk does not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste and you have to pay ridiculous prices in their store to buy these necessities. Our whole flight got delayed and everyone stayed at this hotel, but they did not provide anyone with any toothbrush or toothpaste like most other hotels. Gym is a stationary bike, some dumbells, and a bench, so you can get a decent quick workout. The highlight of breakfast is the waffle machine which has a long line. The eggs were powdered eggs. Definitely better than sleeping in a truck cab, but I would not make this my first choice for an airport hotel.

Cccccold! Bundle up folks! No heat in the Lobby, so that lovely breakfast is difficult to enjoy without ski gear! And don't unpack in your room without checking that everything in the room works. Like the heater. It's no fun to layout and hang up all of your stuff and then find out it's still freezing in the room because the heater is blowing cold air.

Front desk bullies I booked this room for my son who is traveling through Salt Lake City. The front desk staff who checked him in in the evening were wonderful. However, in the morning, he went down to the desk to borrow a pen. The guy at the front desk, I believe his name is Justin Started questioning my son and did not believe he was a customer. He asked him to give him his room key, which my son did. Justin told my son that the room key was expired. He also said he couldn’t find his or my name in the computer. Eventually he did and gave the key back. When my son went up to the room, Justin came up and knocked on the door and told my son he needed to leave. We have elevated this case to the corporate offices of Wyndham.

Good to be back Justin was so friendly, welcoming, responsive and helpful and especially accommoting to my elder father. The staff were friendly. I had stayed here once before and was glad to be back. A comfortable, affordable stay. Easy access to the airport. Just a little bit noisy.
