A relaxing four days We spent four nights here. The room was spacious and comfortable. Two sinks in the bathroom! We don't even have that at home. There was space for dining plus a desk. We got to try out a chaise longue. And the seating on the porch outside was lovely. We also enjoyed the shy cats and friendly dogs. Nice neighborhood too. Lots of old houses, a handful of restaurants, and easy walking distance to downtown including the Alamo and River Walk.

Service dogs not welcome I have stayed at this B&B in the past, and was quite happy. It is a great location and was very comfortable in the past. Since that time however, I have acquired the need for a service dog. When I requested a quote to stay there during a friend's military retirement weekend, I was disappointed to learn from Deb that service dogs are not welcome there. She stated the issue was due to allergies. I am not certain of the law in Texas regarding service dogs, other than it provides equal access to housing accomodations for people with disabilities w/ assistance animals. Perhaps this B&B is exempt for some reason. Regardless, it is now off my list of preferred places to stay.

Fabulous experience! We had stayed in another bed-and-breakfast in the King William district last year, and fell in love with the beautiful, charming historic area and it's close proximity to the Riverwalk. We decided to try a different place this time in the spirit of discovering new places, and we are so grateful that we did. Our room was large and beautifully furnished with lovely antiques and artwork. Deb's complimentary breakfasts were delicious and healthy. The hosts' were attentive and helpful with suggestions on great restaurants and Kit went well over-and-above aiding us with another matter. Their love of animals was also apparent. We absolutely adored the place and owners and will definitely be returning next fall. We highly recommend this haven in the heart of King William.

Quick Trip We stayed overnight in San Antonio for the State UIL marching contest. We were wanting to avoid the hotels as we knew from a past experience they would be full of high school kids with band. This was the perfect spot. The room was nice and comfy. We were only there one night but enjoyed our stay and had a restful and peaceful sleep. The location is within walking distance of a number of places to eat including one late night spot just a block over. Was an easy walk from there to the Alamodome and the River Walk. We took an Uber back from the dome at night just because we were tired but it was only a $6 ride. Worth every penny not to have to hassle with parking at the Alamodome or downtown. We would for sure stay here again.

King William district gem! We had visited S.A. a couple of months earlier and thoroughly enjoyed touring this historic area of S.A. When the opportunity came up for a follow up visit, I came across the Yellow Rose. Some other reviewers had noted lack of direct contact with owners was a negative. It is a different type of B&B but very enjoyable and comfortable. One note regarding parking. If you are bringing a full size pick up or van, you should park on the street. I didn't realize that until I drove to back of the house. This location is within walking distance of some very nice restaurants and tourist experiences, like the river walk. Would definitely consider staying here again.
