Great Hotel Excellent stay, here at the Hyatt. Customer service is very kind and friendly, very accommodating! This is our second stay at this specific hotel. Each time our rooms were very clean, modern and spacious. It’s also nice to have a Starbucks down stairs in the lobby.

Amazing Staff! The staff here were so friendly and courteous! They were very accommodating to our needs. Our room was great and we loved the renovations (which are currently still in progress but we love what’s been done so far) The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is not to the fault of Hyatt. There is an outdoor bar/food truck area right next to the hotel and on Friday nights, the crowd and music are very loud. It didn’t die down until after midnight or so, so if traveling on the weekend just be aware. Saturday night we didn’t hear anything hardly.

Good quality hotel Hotel was good, but not the best in the Hyatt Place line of hotels. Remodeling took one elevator out of service and rooms had some residual construction issues.

Very Welcome I am going to be as objective as possible with this review. I knew the property was being renovated and that only one elevator would be working prior to booking my stay so naturally I was a little hesitant. However, me, my wife, and my 6 year old son were initially impressed with the look of the property as we arrived. It’s just west of the Old Omni at the Colonnade now Westin Hotel. It’s right off of I-10 and fairly easy to get to. Being off of I-10 makes it a quick 10 min drive to downtown SA. Checkin was a breeze and the front desk clerk was friendly. We ended up getting a room on the 4th floor. While waiting on the only elevator in service it started to have some issues and would not operate. Luckily the elevator guys were there working on the remodel for the other elevator. The GM of the property very apologetic and sympathetic for the inconvenience and informed us that we could wait for the repair men to fix the elevator or pointed us to the direction of the stairs. Initially it was not a big deal for us to take the stairs until we got halfway to the third floor and I realized how out of shape I was in. Lucky for us the elevator issue was quickly resolved and there were no more issues with it for the duration of our stay. The renovated rooms were nice and cozy. The furniture and style was upgraded to a modern look. I love that the rooms were vinyl flooring and not carpet. The only knock I have regarding the room is the size of the bathroom. I know being a “big” guy does not help the matter but it did not bother me much since we were gone for most of the day during our week long stay. Housekeeping cleaned our room daily which was nice with a 6 year old. There was one day we returned to a nice and cozy room but it looked like housekeeping forgot to leave us clean towels. I went down and spoke to the front desk rep named Mayra. She was very friendly as I explained the situation. She was sincere with her apology but I assured her it was not a big deal and that housekeeping did a really good job. Still she stopped doing what she was doing and informed me she would have towels sent up right away. About 5 min later housekeeping game right up with a fresh set of towels. I ran into Mayra a few more times and each time I saw here she greeted me with a warm welcoming smile and asked how everything was going and if there was anything else I needed. Mayra definitely set the example for customer service at this property as every front desk employee I interacted with was a pleasant experience. One last thing I would like to mention is the Dog and Food Truck park located next to the property. They do have live karaoke but the noise level is respectful despite still being able to hear it at the property. During our last night we took our 6 year old son to go check out the venue. After visiting the bar, stage, dog park, and playground we realized that it added charm to the hotel property because there was something for the whole family to do. We sat out there and had a couple of beers while listening to some bad karaoke and watching our son play in the playground area. It was a perfect evening for our last night stay at this property. We will definitely be staying here again and look for an even better experience with the entire property being completely renovated. Definitely worth the stay if your looking for a comfy place to sleep while you enjoy what San Antonio has to offer throughout the day.
