Just ok. Good for long stays or traveling with the family. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite. It was very spacious, with a full kitchen and the bedroom is totally separate from the living area (a door closes between the rooms) but there is only one bathroom in the suite. It would be great for a long stay and/or with the kids. Staff are very nice, polite and responsive. I asked for more clothes hangers (there was only one in the closet) and they dropped them off about 10 minutes after I requested them. It’s also about a 7 minute drive to the beach in Del Mar which is great. However, it’s not as nice as the photos led me to believe and I was expecting something more upscale for the price. Supplies in the were bare bones. No Kleenex or paper towels, no decaf or tea options, not even powdered creamer for the coffee. I always appreciate a free breakfast but it was not good. Coffee not nearly strong enough and they were giving out these egg white muffin things that didn’t taste so good, and the packages of cereal were very small. The pool area is tiny and the “grill” looks like it’s balanced on the edge of the pool.

Garbage hotel. La Quinta Inn is better. I asked for a fired sheet for my bed and nobody who works at this hotel understands what a fitted sheet is. I’m from CT so maybe they call them something different her in CA but no matter what they should know what they are.

Hotel injury and no one will respond I recently stayed at this hotel and while I was getting into the elevator the door closed on me causing a huge bruise on my back. I reported it to front desk gal and she said she would get the manager. Well I waited an hour and no one showed so i said I would check back later. So I did and still no manager showed so the gal said let me verify your contact info and they will reach out. That was over a week ago and no one has contacted me yet! I’ve left messages and sent emails which keep bounces back. Terrible customer service! I just hope no one else was injured.

More cons than pros This property is basically clean and adequate for lack of another word to describe it as "average" as one might expect. Front desk attitude less than welcoming, and in fact a lot of requests involved a response of something to the effect "our general manager doesn't allow that" - pretty much putting out a fear of their manager and how they're handcuffed in being able to offer some accommodations. Still under COVID protocols, was told there was no housekeeping, but asking for supplies took more than one phone call to finally get a clean towel. Breakfast was a lot of gas station mart type of wrapped danish (tasted like it too), however the breakfast attendant was very nice and welcoming (they should put her at the front desk). Went past an Emergency Defibrillator station that was EMPTY - that's a little disconcerting. Hotel was "just OK" and certainly not worth a return visit in my opinion.

Lovely hotel, charge for parking We enjoyed a 2 night stay here for a quick family getaway. We are never disappointed with a stay at a Residence Inn and this one was no different for the most part. The room was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen area is always a nice luxury when traveling with kids. The couple drawbacks here was that when you put out the sofa bed there is almost no room to walk around it, which makes it difficult once you put the kids to bed. The other thing is that the shower door leaked a ton and the floor was always wet after a shower. Also, we booked the hotel for four people and it was only stocked with two towels. I called the front desk and they delivered two more, but it took about 45 minutes or so. Oh and I am never happy about paying for parking. This location charges $15 per night, but they do a good job at including it in the details when you book so at least it is not a surprise. Overall, we would stay here again if the budget allowed. Oh and a huge bonus is that they provided breakfast to go, which is a ton more than most places. Options were limited, but decent. You just take it back to your room, heat it up and you are good to go. Pros: *Nice location *Clean and safe hotel *Friendly Staff *Breakfast to go during COVID Cons: *Charge for parking ($15 per day) *Leaky shower door *Tight space with the sofa bed *Room not stocked with enough supplies for amount of registered guests.
