Nice room and cozy atmosphere We arrived last July 25 so early from our flight from LA, I think around 8am but we have booked the night of July 24 already. The front desk officer was very generous to extend our stay for another night (26-27) since we almost didn't use our 1st night booking. Rooms are refurbished already so it's so cozy to stay and sleep. Only comment would be the door who cannot read key card. Every time we leave the hotel and return, the door won't open. They are currently renovating some rooms so all the doors have been replaced also. But other than that, the room is clean. Wide space for luggage, fluffy bed and pillows. Location is also okay, far from the busy business district and no homeless nearby. Worth every penny coz I feel safe and secured staying here

Terrible Hotel Of all the budget hotels I stayed in during a 2 week period of homelessness when my house burned down, this was the absolute worst. The lighting is terrible, the television was so far across the room you had to blast it to hear it, the windows were covered with shutters that anyone outside could see into the room through, there was nothing of convenience in the room, the phone didn't work. The front door was the worst of all, it wasn't tight, the lock was weak, there were huge gaps all around it. I just hated this place. It was the most uncomfortable of all the budget hotels I stayed in while looking for a new home after the fire.

Unfortunately a theft experience The Hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The parking is a plus, position ok, the problem is that there is no control on the people coming in and parking. We were robbed inside the hotel at the second floor, while we were carrying our luggage from our room to the lift. The thief parked in the guests parking, went up using the stairs, uncontrolled, took our luggage while we were carrying the others and brought them downstairs in his car using the hotel lift. Luckily the hotel has control cameras which helped us to recognise the person and we could report the police, but the hotel didn't refund us.

Not bad, but not great I read a lot of reviews before booking here. Some were terrible, some were good. I land about in the middle. For what my brother and I needed - a place close enough to some of the tourist things and some bars to crash at, it served it's purpose well. The hotel isn't the nicest, fanciest place by any means. The wallpaper is peeling a little bit, the carpet is older and carries some faint odors, but it honestly wasn't too bad unless you're a very picky person who needs absolute spotlessness to enjoy themselves. Beds were clean, towels were clean, the wifi worked, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you have a car, they have parking, which I'm told is hard to find in San Fran. I would stay here again.

Prostitutes and Druggies The location is quite good, there's a microwave and fridge, and the wifi was good. That's where the good things end. The room smelt, and the crowd was super shady. Upon checking in I saw two other guests, one of whom was clearly doped up and the other whom I am (very) sure was a prostitute. Worse, the room smelt like a mix of cigarettes and something else (maybe mold?), and had black stains on the carpet that I hoped weren't blood. I couldn't sleep well because of the smell and noise outside, and checked out early. Unless you're on the absolute tightest budget, do yourself a favor and avoid this place!
