Solo Stay Stayed four nights. Great vicinity to the attractions that I had interest in. Will stay again. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly, helpful. The hotel was simply charming. I enjoyed a book from the lending library.

Not comfortable the wifi was slow, the walls were baron, the tv SUCKED, I saw multiple people at the desk when I arrived claiming they were leaving because of a family issue, but it was really because they thought the room was unsightly (I heard the kids talking about what the parents really thought). I did not feel like I was in a room that was constantly being updated with the focus on making the customers feel like they were at home.

Good value, well located The hotel is quite old but totally updated. Rooms are clean and well kept. The staff very friendly. The parking rate quite reasonable. Our only issue was loud neighbors in the room next to ours. Other than that, if your want good value for your money, this is the place.

Don’t Do It Located in the heart of the Tenderloin, which is not very safe area or an area free of human feces, the 1930’s hotel (renovated no more recent than last century) sits across from the development of an entire city block (read: construction noise). It is adjacent to a night club, police department, and fire department. I know this because I heard them all through the single pane window, which was so thin, I thought it was open. Thankfully, earplugs are complimentary in every room. I took a picture of the construction through the window, which is so dirty, it’s hard to tell what’s outside (included with this review). The room was complete with questionable white stains all over the bed skirt and the curtains. The bathroom lacks a fan, but, if you’re strong enough, you could open a window. I’m a 215lb male that exercises regularly, and I was not strong enough to open it. I’m not the only one to lack the strength to open it, because black mold lines the ceiling corners and window sill. The room’s heater on the highest setting didn’t warm the room above 63 degrees. Finally, contrary to what’s advertised on their Google profile, there is no restaurant or gym. The final coffin nail, is they try and slap you with an $18/day “urban fee”, which is ridiculous because the provide absolutely no amenities besides the room.

Nasty Hotel This type of establishment reminds me of a Mad Max episode. Poop at the entrance of the hotel, vomit on the door, outdated furniture, used beds with worn bed springs, windows that offer no noise protection, walls offering no privacy but the shower had real nice water pressure.
