Cozy and Comfortable Boutique Stay For the love of historic buildings you have to stay here! The staff were friendly, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was lovely. Of all the hotels, this was by far my favorite and I will certainly be returning for more visits. Most hotels don’t have the option of fresh air so being able to open the window was so nice. The hotel offers nice breakfast in the morning with excellent coffee and delicious pastries. In the morning, taking my coffee to the lobby and reading the newspaper while waiting for my ride share was one of my favorite moments. Ending the evening with dinner at Fino was a meal I will never forget. An incredible chef crafted menu that includes freshly homemade pasta was exciting enough but the then I ordered from the dessert menu. Overall I give this hotel five stars because kind staff alone can make your stay great but this checked all the boxes.

I wish we knew how bad, before we booked I recently stayed at Andrew's Hotel in San Francisco, and I have to say it was beyond disappointing. The main issue was the size of the bathroom—it was incredibly small. I had a hard time moving around in such a cramped space, making it uncomfortable to shower and get ready each day. As a frequent traveler, I understand that room sizes can vary, but the bathroom at Andrew's Hotel was beyond what I would consider acceptable. It was a significant inconvenience and detracted from the overall enjoyment of my stay. I noticed a vile odour (only what can be described as a butcher shop!) , that seemed to linger throughout the hallways and into my room. It was quite unpleasant and made my entire stay uncomfortable. I had hoped it was a one-off issue, but the smell persisted during my entire visit, even with the windows open. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The bathroom had noticeable grime and mildew in the corners, and the shower curtain looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The carpets in the room appeared stained, and the bedding didn't feel fresh. This level of cleanliness is unacceptable for a hotel. Given the central location and positive reviews, I had expected a much higher standard from Andrew's Hotel. However, the combination of the unpleasant smell and the poor cleanliness made my stay disappointing. I hope the hotel management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve their cleaning protocols and address the odor issues. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Andrew's Hotel to other travelers. I suggest finding alternative accommodations that offer a cleaner and more pleasant environment.

A few days away Good hotel close to Union Square about a five minute walk you can get the tram and hop on hop off bus from there. Hotel was good and finos next door was great for a night cap and there chips _ brilliant. The room was good comfy bed but the only down side was the bathroom you could have a shower while sitting on the toilet ( well nearly) but had a great stay

I’d come back here! Lovely hotel. Great staff. Enjoyed this 100+ year old hotel, the charming elevator up, winding stairs down. The room was a pleasant surprise, in inner bedroom and outer sitting room. Complimentary glass of wine at happy hour. Very reasonably priced. Great neighborhood for cocktails and dining. Overall perfect.

It was great but not so any more This was a gem of a hotel but it has faded.I first stayed at this charming hotel back around 1977 & over the years perhaps 8 more times because I just loved the location, charm & welcome I received from the staff. My last visit was I think around 1998 & all was perfect. I found myself back in SFO this past week & of course had to book my old standby. The basic hotel is the same, lobby looks the same as did my king corner room, even the pictures on the wall were the same. What has changed is the welcome & charm. The man at the check in desk hardly said a word to me, no welcome,no charm & not even a smile on his face . They used to serve a great small continental breakfast on each floor, juice, coffee, tea & a basket filled with wonderful donuts, pastries & croissants. The juice is no longer & the basket only had a few dry muffins & tasteless croissants & I had to go to another floor to find these. The room itself is fine, a little small but that was always the case. I was going to comment to whoever was on duty at checkout about the shortcomings of my visit but when I went down to check out I was face to face with an equally sullen oriental woman who hardly spoke English. When I stayed here before I am sure it was owned by the same family that had run it for years but now ??? The restaurant that is attached is still very good, I had dinner there & the food was wonderful. I am sorry Andrews Hotel but no longer shall I visit.
