Never again The pictures advertising the Travelodge really fooled us. There was mold in the restroom, furniture was dusty, beds were hard and able to feel the and heard the springs, what seemed to be recently cleaned smelled like it was cleaned with an old sour bacteria infested towel. The location was okay and only okay because there was a shopping center across the street, but other than that the location was pretty much in an alley, the United States postal service right behind us, so not really letting you sleep much. Also, there was a lot of homeless people which I'm okay with but traveling you end up leaving a lot of stuff in your car, so that'll also keep you up checking your car. Tqhere was also a lot of drug users talking to themselves yelling at themselves, scared my kids. Also we witnessed a tweaker, where he locked himself in the main office, yelling and screaming. The cops had to be called to extract the guy. the experience there was not great at all. I had got 2 rooms over $1k totally not worth it. It was for a softball 2 day tournament I almost made the suggestion of having over 24 families stay at the facility, thank God I didn't.

Terrible customer service/UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER My stay there was pretty horrible but let’s start with First initial imoressions. I talked with Isabel and her customer service was on point. She was able to give me a reservation while I was just coming into town and gave me a great price! I wasn’t able to catch her when I checked in, but there was this manager by the name of Carlos who showed no good hospitality. He complained about the price that was given to me because Isabel gave me a price was a matched price online. I also told Isabel I am a military vet so she helped me feel welcomed. Carlos stated that he needed to have a conversation with her in front of me due to the fact that she gave me a priced matched rate or a discount. Which I thought was unprofessional to say that in front of a customer. Anyway I got checked in. Horrible check in experience by the way through the manager. On Thursday, I had to get up at 5 am to travel to Bakersfield, I was gone all day, and returned to the lodge at 1030 pm. There was nobody in the office. My card was not working so I couldn’t get in my room. I stayed til midnight going back and forth to my room trying to see if the card might work. I went to the office rung the window door bell and nobody returned to the office all night. This was completely unacceptable. I called throughout the night til 5 am and nobody showed at the office until 7 am. Which blows my mind because this is a business and there was no number left to give anybody a call in case of an emergency! Can you imagine traveling and not being able to access the room you purchased! I had to find somewhere to sleep that night and am extremely frustrated of how the manager came up with a resolution for my inconveniences that night. I came back at 7 and I told him what happened, and he wasn’t apologetic, and that he wasn’t going to charge me for that night I didn’t stay. I asked for another compensation like a free night stay and he said I was trying to “double dip” because he didn’t charge me for the night. This was delivered unprofessionally and he had no empathy or any emotion about a unhappy customer. Given his attitude and lack of effort to not make the situation any better. I filed a claim through corporate and reported this matter. If this is being read by the owner, you need to have a serious conversation with this manager. This is a guy running your business. Customer service was 1 out of 10 when he there working. Very unprofessional, bad attitude, and doesn’t make customers feel comfortable or welcomed. If you have any questions please email me at lmatematico@yahoo.com. Extremely disappointed with this hotel and I won’t be going back there again.
