Holiday Inn Express Inn & Suites Searcy by IHG

Good Stay, Nice Hotel I worked with this hotel on a last minute booking for a college baseball team. They were efficient and responded quickly. On short notice, found out that the team needed to arrive a day earlier then what was contracted. Whitney was wonderful in moving things around and getting my team in, which was greatly appreciated! Typically my teams don't mention their stays unless something went wrong. The head coach said this hotel was nice and it was a good stay. He didn't elaborate, but that is very positive!

Comfortable and pleasant hotel stay. Very pleasant experience---clean, well cared for, comfortable, with outstanding desk personnel. We had a suite and enjoyed the extra room and couch, etc. Would recommend as a moderately priced hotel to anyone and will return in the future.

Beautiful hotel We were in Searcy for a wedding and had the privilege of staying at the Holiday Inn express. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing! The breakfast buffet was very nice. The rooms were clean and well maintained. You can’t go wrong staying here. We had a suite and it was very large.

Does Not Deserve the Brand Name If Holiday Inn stands for superior hotel amenities, this hotel should be called the "Not-Holiday Inn". We asked for a room with a walk-in shower because I have a physical problem stepping into and out of a tub. We got a handicapped room. Okay, we figured that was fine, but the room was awful. Two walls had been repaired but not finished with paint...just blobbed on drywall putty. There was a huge wooden wall board with some kind of empty metal bracket hanging on it, and a hole in the board with wires coming out. It was ugly and useless. I decided to take a shower but soon found the handicap shower fixture would not stay locked into place. It fell on the floor and I finally had to give up and hold it while trying to shower and wash my hair. Then I found we did not have a hair dryer and when attempting to call the front desk, we discovered the phone did not work...at all. My husband got dressed and went to the front desk to get a dryer. She looked in several rooms and could not find one, but said she would bring us one. Eventually, she showed up with one. When my husband pulled down the covers on his queen bed, the bottom sheet had some small debris and hair on it, so he put the covers back on and slept with me. At breakfast, we had to look at the most disgusting swimming pool scene imaginable. It was dark green with algae on top! It looked like a swamp! Drain it for heaven's sake! Don't make guests look at it! I thought I could trust the brand, but I would never stay here again no matter how tired I was and limited my options.

I will personally avoid this hotel in the future! We originally booked 3 nights and have been HIE members for years. We requested a walk in shower and we were given a room in poor condition. The walls had patched holes, the worst beds I have ever slept in an IHE, the TV was off the wall/only bracket showing, poor hair dryer, no art or decor especially in the bathroom. We changed our reservation to one night and were overcharged from the original price that I booked it. The room did not feel clean. Water rushes into the bathroom from the walk-in and the room smells like urine when wet. Very disappointing experience.
