Quality Inn Shallotte near Ocean Isle Beach

Name that smell!? The initial check in was great, but it ended once we entered the elevator. The smells in this hotel are difficult to label, but are very unpleasant. When we got to the room it also had a unique odor. There was sticky brown stuff in the refrigerator like a soda had exploded, trash under a piece of furniture beside it, and urine on the toilet seat. The lower price was definitely reflected in the lack of cleaning and smells. I will never stay at this hotel again.

DEFINITELY NOT AS ADVERTISED ! We drove 9 hours from NJ,when we arrived the female behind the desk was on the phone, she never acknowledged us and kept on with her conversation for about 7 mins. Once she hung up the phone I proceeded to give her my fiancé's cc and ID. We both initialed and signed a paper saying we had no pets and would not smoke in the room or on the property. I went upstairs to our room while my fiance unloaded the car. The rooms are VERY small, there was blood stains on the duvet, and a cigarette burn hole in the mattress pad ( but there's no smoking_‍♀️). And the floor was not swept or mopped. I went back downstairs and let the employee know that it was unacceptable. She then offered me another room which looked like someone had just ate at the desk and that floor was also unswept or mopped. I went back to the front desk and told her for the amount we were paying it's completely unacceptable. It also appears that people live here as well. You take this review how you want, it's definitely not how it is advertised and most of these reviews are definitely lies. Although we were issued a refund we were basically left with no where to stay because it was the day before 4th of July and no other hotels in the area had any vacancys.

Family visit Great staff very helpful, not great options for low carb/ no sugar options, cleanliness needs improvement,but for the value was one of the nicest places we've stayed

Nice hotel in Shallotte, NC We were with our High School team, who were competing at a local event the next day. I worked with Joanne on setting up our reservation and , she did a wonderful job from setting up the reservations, making sure the rooms were ready to go. All the staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and professional. Quiet and well maintained hotel, right off 17, with plenty of restaurants near by. Rooms are standard, but well maintained and in excellent condition. Wi-Fi is fast and stable. We would like the thank the entire team, especially Joanne, for making our stay comfortable. We will return next year.

Of the three hotels in Shallotte NC. I think I made the right choice. Front desk was great. Rooms were clean and bed were comfortable. It was a quiet hotel except for the other guests being noisy in the hall. Breakfast was good but limited. But certainly enough to at least start your day.
