Great place to stay Great place to stay. Easy checkin and staff was friendly and professional. Was greeted by who I think was the manager and other employee. Room was clean and loved the shower. Breakfast was ample with a varied selection. Highly recommend this place on your visit to spartanburg.

Great place to stay! My daughter and I were here for one night. I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff we encountered. The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay but this never impacted our stay in a negative way. The 4th floor renovations were complete and that is where we stayed. Everything was clean and fresh feeling. We noticed the lamp over our sofa area was missing lightbulbs but a friendly maintenance person was quick to remedy that. The room was quiet the entire night. My daughter said it was the best sleep that she had in several nights! I enjoyed the elliptical, with it's attached tv, in the small but nice fitness room. The indoor pool looked inviting and clean but we didn't get the chance to use it. The included breakfast had some great options such as eggs, sausage, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and whole bananas and apples. This was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it to family and friends!

Just fine. This is rated as just a two-star hotel, but it's better than a second Holiday Inn Express and Suites in town. The room was comfy, bed just the right firmness, staff attentive and pleasant, and the breakfast tasty if not overflowing with options. Nothing else remarkable, but all was well. Suggest you bring a blanket from home if you have room, as IHG blankets are more like thin bedspreads than anything with warmth. If a first-floor room is not available (we prefer these because we carry lots of stuff), we suggest getting a top-floor room near the elevator. Top floor so as to miss any guest rooms full of antsy and/or crying children — or a traveling troop of clog dancers — who might pick the room above you. Can't happen if there IS no room above you. The elevators will get you to Floor 5 almost as fast as they go to 2, 3, and 4.

Buggy!!! There was a bedbug, in a pillowcase that my husband used to sleep last night…ICK!! Because I booked it through Hotels.com the front desk said they couldn’t do any kind of reimbursement, which I understand. Surely they have some way to compensate a client, if not, that’s terrible.

Horrible Bed I’m currently laying in bed at 5:30am writing this review. I stay at Holiday Inns all the time and this is the worst bed I’ve even been in!! The mattress is worn out so you roll into a valley in the middle for both sides. A/C until has a belt going so it’s extremely loud. The hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff at check in was very nice. But this bed is a joke!! I would stay again but only if they have upgraded mattresses… I have a feeling this one has a lot of miles on it!!
