Ramada by Wyndham Spirit Lake/Okoboji

Do not stay at this motel DO NOT STAY HERE!Rooms have mold in bathroom ceilings. There was hair in my bed. There are no non slip strips in the bathtubs (I almost fell in the tub and the one acrylic bar in the tub that was broken. The motel furnishings are dated and not all in good repair. We did not discover the mold in the bathroom until being in the shower late at night. I called and reported concerns to the person at the desk but we did not want to pack up and change rooms at 11:00 pm. We did get a different room without mileage next morning. I asked the staff person (man) on duty Fri. night and Sat. morning about a discount/compensation for the sub- standard, unhealthy accommodations but I was told that he could not do that, only the manager could. He said the manager was out of the country for a month. I shared our experience with other family members that had also made reservations for Sat. Two rooms were checked and also had mold in the bathrooms so those relatives did not stay that night at this Ramada. Another relative could not get other accommodations Sat. so they stayed in another room with mold. Another relative staying here that weekend said she found hair in her bed, and on a wash clothes said her room smelled. Her daughter found a used dental pick in the sofa bed and said the pull out mattress was stained yellow so they could not let their son sleep on it.Another relative said their room smelled bad and the a/c was making loud noises. I called Wyndham customer service Saturday and reported this motel. I have not heard back yet from them. They were charging $249 and more a night for these rooms in unacceptable conditions.

Horrid Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Not only did they tell us we couldn’t eat breakfast but my friends clothes went missing. 500 dollars worth of clothes magically disappeared. We had to call the cops before the workers would even attempt to help look for her belongings. When we were trying to leave they wouldn’t give us our security deposit as well as another lady from a different room and they charged her an extra 200. After the fact we had to call the police again because they put out security deposit towards another room. I do not recommend coming here they have no respect or common decency to visitors.

Clean but dated Very clean, great service, but hasn't had a remodel/refresh for a while. The sink counter had chips out of it, visible caulk, and the room dressers and cabinets were clearly many years old. Not near the lakes, if that's a concern.

Pay full price for a hotel room that doesn’t have all the advertised amenities. If someone is going to check out a room at your hotel, the least you can do is tell them that the hot tub is out of order. That’s the one thing I look forward to when I go to hotel with the hot tub. Doesn’t make any sense to charge people the full price and you don’t have all the amenities that you advertise on your website! Not happy! Also, your continental breakfast left a lot to be desired Plus, the fact your room stinks of dead fish, or some other kind of smell. Will not be coming back ever!!

Needs some updates The bed needs replaced and the fold out couch. And some paint updates. No one was at the front desk for checking out. I didn't get to the breakfast. But it smelled good when I was leaving. The gal who checked me in was very helpful. Very friendly.
