Great for a super quiet beach retreat. Guests charged for parking, locals are not __‍♀️. Pleasantly surprised that this Hampton Inn has a resort feel: music inside and out, beautiful landscaping, pretty pool area, and an amazing beach right across the street! Cameron was great at the front desk - he takes great care of guests. Our suite was roomy and had a nice ocean view from the bedroom (and a window in the living room with a partial ocean view). Odd they they charge guests $16/night for parking, but others park and use the beach for free, making it hard to finding guest parking (I watched from the balcony as a storm rolled in, and about ten groups of people ran from the beach to their cars in the hotel lot and drove away….). Overall, a great place to stay for a beach retreat. We plan to be back!

Cold damp room Staff was very nice. However our room was cold and damp. We were on the second floor and had an air conditioner under the window. There was a thermostat on the wall that was inoperable. The room was so humid the floor felt damp and our clothing thar we brought as well as the shoes were damp to the touch. Our friends who were staying on the floor above us had normal vented air conditioning that was controlled by a wall thermostat and had no issues with humidity in their room. Towels did not dry in the 3 days we were there.

Beware of this hotel Beware of this hotel they charge $16 a day parking and good luck finding a place as all beach goers use all the parking stalls. Not to mention 1 of the three days no working elevator during our stay. The worst is I have a disability and we stayed on the 3rd floor plus they charged me $75 for my PSA service animal which is ridiculous. When I complained they refused to refund me. Plus we were locked out of our room as the digital key didn’t work plus the keys quit working as well. Down three flights of stairs yet again to get a key that worked. Front desk was very rude when asked if I could get a towel as the pool area had no towels at 3 in the afternoon. Hotel has serious issues & in desperate need of renovations. Breakfast was horrible & I’m so disappointed that I’m done with Hilton properties all together as there customer service doesn’t seem to care either.

Great Location/proximity to the Beach We chose this location to utilize the beach and to spend a day touring St Augustine. We noticed it was difficult to find parking in the parking lot so we were concerned to drive anywhere to be honest. We walked down the road to The Beaches restaurant for lunch shortly after we checked in which was great but hot and sweaty walking. Seemed a little far. Noticed the whole strip, surrounding area under construction, run down, very scruffy. The Front desk was very friendly & helpful - Cameron specifically. Breakfast was very good. Fresh coffee all the time and we were able to purchase hop on off bus tickets. We ended up checking out a day earlier as the mattress was terrible, pillows were awful & AC was noisy all night so we did not sleep well at all. The room was very musty/humid. We decided to drive home after our tour.

Okay First, the good stuff: Outstanding location (very close proximity to the nicest beach in St. Augustine), spotless, huge rooms and comfortable bedding and huge rooms. All these things were excellent, and honestly, above Hampton Inn's typical fare. However, there were issues. First, those huge rooms were populated with far too little furniture. One chair in a room this size simply disappears. Would it have killed you to put another chair and maybe ONE coffee table?! Really? And then there was the color of the rooms - jail cell gray is a lousy choice, even if you have boat load of it in your warehouse. Finally, can we talk about the SINGLE elevator in the building? Need I say more? To end on a positive note, the pool area and patio were wonderful! But, then again, breakfast was a disappointment, so...
