A modernized touch to beautifully-restored history We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here en route to The Badlands! The beautifully-restored mansion was totally comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast which is included in the price was absolutely delicious! The owner was very helpful and accommodating when we spoke on the phone, and the breakfast server was very pleasant and attentive as well.

Beautiful home, good breakfast This house is beautiful! It has all been restored to period splendor. Holly greeted us at the door, showed us around, and helped with our bags. She was very friendly. Our room was on the small side but large enough for two. It was very pretty. The bed was extra soft so not to my liking but for one night just fine. The room had a space heater and an AC unit. The bathroom is small but well done. Breakfast was baked French toast and fresh fruit which we both enjoyed. The dinning room is gorgeous. I was trying to figure out how much the owner spent on wallpaper. We would stay here again.

Give the back yard some attention! We visited for a getaway from Kansas City. Holly was delightful, helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the history of the house is fun to review. Our room overlooked the back yard which desperately needs some attention-it really took away from the ambiance to see cardboard boxes, broken stones and logs just tossed around the space which obviously gets no use. A shame really in an otherwise lovely setting.

Can't say enough positive about this place! The mansion is amazingly beautiful with an equally amazing refurbishment history and a WONDERFUL breakfast! The price easily beat the big name hotel chains and the breakfast was WAY beyond what you'd expect! Even served to your table! We would go back there in a minute!

Great place, would highly recommend staying there. We went there to attend a funeral in Wathena Ks..What a great place to stay, we had the whole place to ourselves. We had family from N.Y, VA. Idaho, Texas, Michigan, Louisiana, and Missouri. We hadn't seen some of the family in over 15 years. Staying at your wonderful place made a sad situation calming and relaxing. The service was fantastic. It was like someone opened up there mansion just for us. Thank you.
