Hot Water ... NOT! Worst hotel stay this year! Despite the hotel being newly renovated, this hotel stay was my absolute worst hotel stay in 2024 to date ... 1. Digital Key does not work. 2. Bed sheets do not fit the bed (Reported and this was corrected). 3. Desk does not have a lamp, making working in the evening or early morning extremely difficult. (Reported; was told new lamps have not yet been received from renovations. Side note is that I stayed in this same hotel a month ago, and there has been no change about the desk lamps.) 4. Stayed on 4th floor and there was no hot water in the mornings for the shower. Sink water temperature was luke warm. Suspect there is either a piping issue or hot water heater issue. (Reported, but not addressed). 5. Bathroom sink doesn't hold water ... plunger doesn't work at all. (Reported; not fixed). 6. Last morning there, went to get a cup of coffee just about 6:30 am, and the coffee was cold. 7. The morning staff was non-existent. They were not helping in the breakfast area, as they would eventually emerge from the office once enough people were waiting on them. This happened both mornings I was there. Morning front desk staff doesn't have the training or attitude to be customer-focused. 8. Gym is being used as a storage room for renovation equipment. There needs to be some solid attention to detail at this hotel ... maintenance (hot water & sinks), housekeeping (sheets), and definitely morning front desk (never there!). I will end on a good note though. The evening front desk staff was at reception greeting people and had fresh cookies for people on both evenings that I came in. Help is needed in a lot of other areas!

Very disappointing stay We were there for a very emotional meeting, and we had chosen Hampton Inn because we have always had a great and comfortable stay there. This visit was awful. There was rarely anyone at the front desk, and if we could find someone, they were not very helpful. When we checked in, our room did not have curtains, an ironing board, or a trash can, and the drawers were broken. The sliding door that closed both the closet and the bathroom often stuck. There were no beverages other than Diet Coke in the snack area (the ones for purchase) the entire time we were there.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. I am very shocked this get such good reviews on Google. The place was dirty. Toilet hadn’t been flushed in the room. Hair all over the bathroom, smelled of mold, half the electrical outlets did not work, light fixtures were damaged. We asked to switch rooms in the beginning and ended up in one dirtier. The front desk staff rolled their eyes and seemed inconvenienced. If I were Hilton I would not want this place representing the brand. So bad we checked out early and did not complete our stay.

Best hotel team in Starkville First time staying at this hotel while dropping our child back to MSU. The ice storm caused us to stay an extra night. Jordan and the front desk service there did an OUTSTANDING job accommodating us and their other guests. Jordan is professional, polite and thoughtful. Best hotel experience in the Starkville area. They really go above and beyond. Ben too! They are also renovating the rooms, and it will be even better very soon. Will say the hotel is a bit tired looking, but the rooms and lobby are clean, breakfast was good, and again, the service made it all worthwhile. True Southern hospitality. And beware - the city really does shut down with any snow or ice, campus too.
