Close to PSU I was in the area visiting family. I've never stayed at any of the State College area hotels, but this made a good first impression. The hotel is very close to shopping and the Penn State campus. You're only one exit away from Beaver Stadium off I-99. Check-in was super simple. The room was paid in advance and the clerk had my keys ready to go. I only had to provide ID to match the reservation and bam! She was very friendly and super quick. Our room was on the second floor. The room looked and smelled very clean. Although the bed looked as if persons had sat or layed on it prior to our arrival however, I think it was just a matter of housekeeping not taking a few extra seconds to smooth out the covers before leaving the room. The beds were very comfortable and each queen bed had approximately five pillows! The bathroom was clean and stocked with fresh towels. Our only concern was the shower, there were several black hairs about the shower walls and floor. (None of us have black hair, and mine is still cut to military standards, so no hairs quite that long from me) This wasn't a game changer, but gave us a reason to pause for a minute. I love this hotel and many others are finally putting automatic night-lights in the bathroom! Thank you IHG. There is a chain restaurant only steps from the front door which also had quick service and carry out made eating in our room easy. Breakfast in the morning was the typical free hotel breakfast. Nothing bad, but noting to review either. It was clean, tasted fine and was a good way to start our morning. You could tell staff took pride in the food area and tried to keep it neat during the breakfast rush. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again when visiting the area.

Bottle of Water May 2023 The hotel was adequate at best. I was attending a graduation. My issue may seem small but here goes. After paying 2k for 2 nights in a suite, my son the graduating student grabbed a bottle of water at the front desk and asked that it be charged to our room. The person at the front desk stated that there was no card on file. I thought since paying 2k six months in advance he would have been good for a .99 bottle of water. Needless to say, since my son has graduated no need to go back and wouldn't anyway.

Dirty room. Unvaccumed, blood on pillows and hoodie under bed Dirty room and was very disappointed. We usually stay at Holiday inns everywhere we go due to there consistency of quality and value. This trip was a huge let down. Upon arrival we noticed hairs all ok very bathroom, dirt and dust. The carpet was unvacumed, we saw blood on two pillows, and a hoodie under the bed. The light switched were dirty too. We ended up wiping our room down with disinfectant wipes. If it weren't for the fact that it was late, we had 3 young kids and had to be up early we would of left. Hotels in area were so out due to wrestling tournament so we were kinda stuck. They only offered a small discount. I would of preferred a free stay for how grossed out we were. The only pro were the rest of the stay was standard Holiday inn style. Bed comfortable, breakfast good and front desk nice.

Customer service is terrible Horrible front desk manager. We tried to rebook our stay due to having COVID and they refused to grant us a change and took our money. I will never go there and clearly this hotel does not care for our well being. Customer service is in the gutter
