Clarion Pointe Is A Great Place To Stay I stayed at Clarion Pointe in room 134 for a May weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my extremely clean, quiet and modern room. It looked as if recently refurbished. The swimming pool was not open yet but looked sparkling clean looking from above at the 2nd floor ice machine room. There was no street or I-40 noise. Very good dining is nearby including a Pizza Express, which has good reviews, that is across the street. For longer stays needing plenty of room for food, the refrigerator is double the size of others I've seen in hotels. The TV and microwave were great. The included breakfast was quite filling. All personnel were very friendly. I highly recommend Clarion Pointe and would definitely stay again.

Convenient and Helpful Staff Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived for 1 night while in transit. The desk agent was helpful in getting us a first-floor room and secure parking. Room- tight if more than 2 people in a double. There is a comfy chair, but it's next to the air conditioner. Room is renovated but hinges and doors show age. Overall clean and served it's purpose. Breakfast- beverages, cerceal, make your own waffles, fruit, bread products, yogurt.(I'm sure I forgot something) There was a outdoor pool, game room, fitness center (we did not use these)

It is not a quiet stay. Stayed one night on migration north. Not bad online rate. Good - it is clean, convenient, nice size room and includes breakfast. Not so good - you can clearly hear the next room, and a lot of road noise. If you turn on the air and fan the white noise helps. It was fine for a one night stay.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again Not a horrible place to stay, but probably wouldn’t stay again. Really wanted to like it as it looked updated, it was convenient to 77/40, and it was well priced. Plenty in the area for food, gas, and shopping. Check in was quick and friendly. Very nice guy. Our room was on the first floor facing the pool area. Room was recently updated (minus the bathroom but it wasn’t in bad shape), and it looked great. Also looked clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was basic, only hot food being waffles, but sufficient to get you on your way. Couple of downfalls would keep me away. First, when we walked into the room it had an odd smell. Couldn’t put my finger on it truly. Didn’t smell dirty or mildewy, just odd. Luckily I had some Lysol spray so I sprayed the entire room down. Smelled good for the night, but noticed it again the next morning. My only thought is maybe the air conditioner needs cleaning/servicing but I have no idea what the slightly off putting smell was. The major reason I wouldn’t stay was it just kind of felt unsafe. Looked like drug addicts/homeless either hanging around or living/staying there. When we were in our room we could hear people yelling back and forth outside. Not fighting, just yelling from upstairs to downstairs it seemed talking to each other. Also heard talking at 6 am, but think that was the room next door. Then when we went to go out to dinner there were two sketchy looking people on the sidewalk. One sitting smoking, the other standing. They stared at us the entire walk to our car, then I had to say excuse me to go by as they literally just stared at us while taking up the entire sidewalk when we tried to get through. When we came back from dinner no one was outside, but it was constant sirens (not sure if there is a station close by or what) and road noise all night long. Luckily I’m a sound sleeper so once asleep I don’t usually hear anything. We didn’t have any issues with the people there, however I just didn’t feel completely safe. Especially how they stared at us walking to our car then not even attempting to move so we could get by until I said something. Once again, not a horrible stay. Cheap updated rooms in a good location with a bad smell and sketchy looking people.

Very pleasant stay in Statesville Stayed for a few days in April. Booked the 2 queen suite, and it was very spacious. Two adults, two kids, and a baby fit very comfortably. One kid sometimes slept on the sofa in the second room, and the baby was in her pack-n-play in there as well. The room was clean, and we got exactly what we had booked. Breakfast was nice. Waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt were the options. Juice and coffee as well. It was small, but fitting for the scale of this hotel. The only downsides to our room was the placement. We were facing the interstate, so it was a bit loud. That said, I had no issue falling asleep. It wasn't so loud as to be disturbing. Will this be a contender for our next visit to Statesville? Yes. I would stay here again. What we got for what we paid was good.
