Great hotel, close to the airport. Very clean and staff very friendly. Good variety for breakfast. We arrived and very friendly staff on check in. We were given a room near the entrance which suited us for packing up ready for the journey back to UK. When we left we left some expensive chocolates in the fridge. Some 6 hours later I phoned the hotel, they had kindly saved them for us, even putting them in their own fridge. We were able to return and collect before our flight. Many thanks to housekeeping and reception staff. Cracking job _

Held hostage It was an omen that we were stuck in the elevator, on the way up to our room. The call button worked, and the phone rang, but no one answered it. We were in there several minutes when my husband decided to kick the door, and it opened. When we told the woman at the front desk, she seemed un concerned, And we heard the phone ringing when we left the room about an hour later. Don’t know where this call button rings, but no one is there. The room was unremarkable. We spent the first night and I woke up sick. Since I had a fever, we decided that we should not stay for the rest of our trip. We told the lady at the front desk that we were leaving early due to me being sick, and she took no details. Later, I became concerned that perhaps we would be charged for the second night and called back. The gentleman that answered the phone said that it is their policy that you must give 24 hours notice before you can cancel a reservation in process. Therefore, we paid for two nights, even though we stayed only one. I complained through the Choice Hotels phone number, but they were unable to help me. So I paid $250 for a one night stay in an adequate hotel. The Doubletree is right up the road. For that money I could’ve had a night there. So I paid $250 for a one night stay in a adequate hotel. The Doubletree is right up the road. For that money I could’ve had a night there. As a platinum member, with years of using Choice Hotels, I expect better. I will shop around for somewhere else to stay next time.

Far from subway station. The actual hotel was fine, though the rooms were not that big. The breakfast was regular like other chains. We stayed for two nights to go to DC area, I was surprised that the closest subway was 10 mins away by car. If you need to go to DC you need to either drive or take an UBER to the station. No subway station nearby. No hotel shuttle to the subway station. Also, the shuttle to the airport took forever so we decided to drive the car ourselves instead of waiting for it. The price was fine and the rooms were clean.

My favorite place to stay in the area. I travel frequently for work and have high tier status will multiple hotel brands. I can honestly say I prefer this hotel over the more costly hotels in the area. I really appreciate the quality service and friendly staff. The go out of there way to ensure you have a great stay and genuinely care for their guests.

They text unsolicited ads to you late at night during your stay Check-in guy was very friendly and pleasant. First room I was given (#104) smelled like a wet dog, so they moved us to a room upstairs instead. Rooms are very basic. Temperature of shower is difficult to control, as the tub controls are not standard and no instructions on how to use it are given. Breakfast seemed pretty basic - waffles, bread, yogurt, and cereal - no fresh fruit or eggs, so we just walked through and decided to give that a pass. The main reason I won't be back though is because they text your cell phone at 9:45pm with ads about signing up for the Choice Hotel app. I had come in on a flight from Australia and was sound asleep. I'm not sure how they got my family's cell phone number, but I wish they asked at check-in if it's OK to text my cell late (for us that night) with ads and surveys.
