Post-COVID ROACH APOCALYPSE! Not sure if this was a roach motel pre-COVID. My gf is scared of roaches so hard night. Went late May right after COVID lockdown in Tennessee ended. Roaches throughout the room and bathroom. Girlfriend had a fit and it was miserable for both of us staying the night. Only realized in the morning leaving the place that we could have slept in our minivan. Doh!

Nasty hotel The room was NASTY and smelled horrible. No towels and the head board had molded food on it. The smell was so bad I instantly got a headache. The wall board was coming off the wall and dead bugs was lying between wall and wallboard. We IMMEDIATELY asked for our money back and left. I refuse to stay in a hotel that nasty. I felt like a cardboard box would have been better for the night than staying in a room where I could catch a disease or carry bugs home in my bags. __

Immoral money grubbing dump We booked 2 nights for the eclipse in February. Drove from Michigan to Tennessee only to be told that hotels.com had overbooked rooms that were unavailable. No advance notice given by Hotels. Com and of course no available rooms anywhere near. What a joke--the hotel was overbooked in FEBRUARY? We slept in our car due to these clowns. I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau about them and Hotels.com.

questionable ethics We had a room rented for the busiest night of the decade, or possible this century-eclipse eve (the town is in the path of totality), where every room in every hotel is fully booked for the day of the total eclipse with enormous demand for even more rooms. Tried to cancel the reservation three days ahead, but was told there was an $88.50 cancellation policy (which admittedly WAS in the booking contract). But circumstances would suggest they would immediately get a rebooking for close to double of what our rates were, and hopefully would have the cancellation charge waived due to the unique situation here. Kavita-the owner -who of course would have the discretion to accommodate this request, said this was not possible BECAUSE it was already too late to rebook the room-which I know is patently false. A quick perusal of their social media site suggests I am not alone in customer service that is at best less than exemplary, and anecdotally much worse. I plan the cancel the room at the very last second, to make rebooking a little harder for them, but I still know it will very quickly be rebooked for $200 more than the rates we were locked into. I can not of course comment on the nature of the room as I have no intention of staying there-on eclipse eve or any other time.

This place is for the low income with no where to go Guest Inn / Hill Top hotel is not a place I'd ever stay again. The walls in the room was nasty we had 1 towel and 2 hand towels in the room. Phone never worked, said something every day I was there and they act like they did not care!!! The general manager or owner was extremely rude never asked how is your stay nothing you could tell she did not care about her guest at all. Michael off Hotel Impossible needs to come in to fix her and I guess train her how to treat guest.... also they rent the rooms out weekly for people that is down on there luck or has no where to go so you have to put up with them being loud as well. Only good thing about this place was the shower had extremely good water pressure
