It’s not the $50 it’s the principle of the thing! We didn’t steal your thin used towels ! 5/28-30/2024 My bucket list trip to The Lost Sea ….55 years in the making . We splurged and got the room with the whirl pool because I knew my bad knees would need soaking after the Lost Sea hike. The whirl pool in our room was not clean …so I went ahead and cleaned it , no big deal…things happen. Reported the un clean tub and sent photos(upon the front desk request) . They didn’t offer a discount nor did I ask ,because, that’s not me , things happen. Never received any reply from the email _‍♀️ When I got my credit card bill, I see an extra charge for $50. Called the Inn today 6/29/24 and was informed that ‘I stole all the towels’. I am BEYOND upset. Not even about the $50,but neither my husband nor I take things that don’t belong to us ,let alone, thin used towels from a hotel. I was refused a refund of my $50 so I asked about a discount on the un clean tub….the owners reply was “you never asked for a discount “ No, I didn’t, because that’s just not me ,I understand things get over looked . He still refused to refund my $50 . I’m not sure how their staff over looked all the wet dirty towels I thoughtfully gathered up and put in the bath tub before we left. Sad, because this was a nice little hotel that on the way home said we stay at again ,because we liked the area so much we talked about a return trip. We have stayed at Quality Inn in Beckely WV for many years and many trips(a dozen or more ) never had this happen. Also noted the $50 was charged prior to the charge for my room so no way (if towels were missing) they’d have known that within minutes of us leaving .Super disappointed! _ this is the first time I’ve ever had to write a bad review , I feel actually bad doing it ,but it’s the principle of the thing. Gheesh! IF I were the type of person to take things it would have been one of the fabulous pillows we slpet on. Becuase those were amazing! From now when I stay anywhere Im bringing my wet dirty towels to the front desk upon check out !

Second time Everything was clean and comfortable. When we checked in, the front desk lady (I think Heather) was very personable and friendly. The ONLY problem and not the fault of the hotel except (meaning the walls are thin with little sound barrier) was the guy next door coughing up a lung all night long. Breakfast was sufficient and very hot coffee. Would stay again.

Nice! Very nice, clean room, very nice staff! We stayed one night on our way to vacation. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff treated us well! Nice little breakfast choices the next morning and prompt service!

Clean and professional Stopped here while traveling from Florida to western kentucky. Last minute reservations with a late check n, room was clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Good experience and would recommend to anyone

ATTENTION:AVOID! We went off the reviews. It was a fair price. It is what is. We check in. My sister helped us off load our bags. We leave after to go visit my other sister. We checked in as a family of four and while checking my account they charge us $60 for extra person. I explained my sister helped us load up and if they check their cameras they will see from that day on it was 4 people in 4 people out. After talking to the manager he said he would fix it. We officially got comfy in the hotel. Cheetos on the floor, a comb, tons of white powder, dirty tub, and gross fridge. We sent pictures to the manager and was never contacted. When we woke up my husband and daughter had little bites on their body. My son and i did not. When when we got home we kept everything in a garbage bags to sanitize in dryer on 2 cycles and then wash. I am praying we didn't bring any hitch hikers home. Also Upon check out I talked to the lady who originally checked us in about the extra person. She stated the owners mother does that and she put the charge on it and I guess she does it regularly. I got a receipt and will dispute if its not taken/refunded. This was a complete and utter disaster.
