Good - but not great Nothing special about t his hotel. But, no problems either. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. One note, however. We saw on one site where the company description describes this as a waterfront location. A drainage canal that has long been dry due to drought conditions hardly classify as waterfront location.

Very disappointed, place is lacking a lot. We stayed in a Queen double room. The room's AC/Heat unit was malfunctioning. We set the temperature for 68°, and we were not comfortable because it kept changing settings all night! No towel bars, beds crammed close together, ancient power sources; no way to charge some of my electronics, and the rooms were not very clean. The towels felt like cardboard! One positive: the evening clerk at check in was very nice. However, we won't stay here again. It was a poor value for our money.

You Can Do Better I booked this place because I was joining friends, and it was close to where they're staying. It is ok, but I was disappointed by a few things. First, while they advertise a pool and spa, the pool is closed and the spa i.e. hot tub (which I can see from my room) looks gross (i.e. slimy-looking water.) Coming from Wisconsin, I was looking forward to an outdoor pool in early March. Other little, but annoying things: the safe doesn't work and I told the front desk. They said someone would come by and fix or replace it but that never happened. So I hid my laptop etc. under the mattress. Also, the supply of towels was very skimpy and my electronic key repeatedly didn't work, The sound-proofing isn't good: I had trouble sleeping because someone in a nearby room was snoring and footsteps from the hallway were very noticeable. Overall it was a disappointing stay. The breakfast was typical motel free breakfast, but was OK. Besides the usual fare, it had granola, juice, fresh fruit, and decent coffee. The staff were courteous and cordial. For the price, I expected more and wish I had booked another nearby place.

Room had decent furniture but was not clean My husband and I stayed two nights at this motel during the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. We booked the room at the last minute, and were very happy we found a place to stay. The Comfort Inn was sold out, and staffing was probably short due to both the pandemic and the gem show. Our room was fairly standard for a non-premium fairly inexpensive hotel. We had two comfortable queen beds. The small desk had two straight-back chairs and lamp. There was an additional floor lamp. There was no easy chair. There was a small refrigerator and a safe. There was a coffee maker we did not use, and a supply of coffee and tea. There were paper cups for the coffee and no glass glasses for beverages. Between the two beds there was one nightstand with a lamp. The bedside lamp had two bulbs and two control switches. I would have preferred two nightstands and two lamps, so that one person’s light would not shine in the eyes of the person in the other bed who might be trying to sleep. The downstairs free breakfast room looked like it had the typical offerings. We enjoyed coffee downstairs but did not eat breakfast there. Our motel room was stocked with clean towels and toiletries. My problem with this motel was the lack of cleaning. Through some oversight, when we arrived there was dark urine in the toilet. The previous occupant had failed to flush the toilet, and housekeeping had not cleaned the toilet. Furthermore, two bars of partially used soap were in the soap dish in the shower. We stayed two nights. I can understand that housekeeping would not want to make the beds or provide fresh towels. I am perfectly willing to reuse the towels and sheets. We had clean garbage cans when we checked into the motel, but no one ever emptied our garbage cans at any time during our stay. This was disappointing. I am glad we had not deposited any smelly food items in the trash. I will also note that the carpeting in this room was stained in multiple places. This was not a big deal for me. If the motel recarpeted all the guest rooms, they would probably need to raise the room rate. We had one breakfast at the nearby Waffle House and another at the nearby IHOP. We ate two dinners at the nearby Rusty’s Family Restaurant and Sports Grille, recommended on the hotel website. The motel is located within a cluster of other motels. This motel was convenient to several gem and mineral shows we wanted to visit on the south side of town.

Go elsewhere….. Location: Just off the highway, the hotel is fairly convenient to Tucson. However that could be said of most of hotels in Tucson, which is not a very large city. Check-in / out and staff: The reception area was really all over the place. No one seemed sure of what was ready, who was supposed to be in what room, and just generally very disorganized. When I requested a room on the top floor, I was told I could either keep the room allocated to us, or if I like, go elsewhere! I have to say that the housekeeping staff tried hard. It was well after check in time and every guest who came in while we were waiting for our room were told their room wasn’t ready yet. A shambles. Parking: Not a great parking lot, with many around the back, and a fair distance from the entrance. Room: OK I suppose. Until the toilet overflowed! Plus the ceiling looked like it was starting to peel, in fact the whole hotel felt tired. This was evident in the small, cramped, and honestly depressing lobby. Breakfast:Meh, the standard cheap fare was provided with little enthusiasm. Wi-Fi: THE WORST! Cut in and out continually and clearly there weren’t big On signal boosters. We weren’t even that far from reception. Soooo irritating! And remember I couldn’t get a room change…. TV and Air-conditioning: Were functioning well. But laundry was mostly closed, and when it was finally opened the dryer was not working. Would I go back? Nope. Depressing, worn at the edges, lousy wi-fi, not great maintenance and a disinterested front desk. There didn’t seem to be a responsible manager on duty who was capable or competent to solve guests’ problems. No value for money, and many other options are available in the area.
