Horrible, dirty place This place was so dirty I kept my shoes on. The carpet was sticky and there was hair everywhere. The room smelled, the mirror in the bathroom was dirty, everything was old and dirty. Cheap shampoo and soap. The only good thing was the lady that checked us in.

Don't believe 4* reviews No way this joint deserves 4 stars. Dirty, dark breezeways. Folk hanging around with no purpose. Little bit of pot smoking going on. Older rooms but reasonably clean. Good front desk folks. Biggest plus is Lost Pizza just across the road. Seems to mostly cater to construction crews.

That’s a nope for us. Floor was disgusting. It was tacky feeling and left black all over our feet and everything that touched it. I checked for bed bugs (as I do everywhere) and didn’t see any. We all felt so gross when we left. House keeper asked when we were leaving as I was walking back to our room with breakfast and I told her we were offered late checkout so around 12. She rolled her eyes at me and walked off. Morning staff in the main area was very nice and breakfast was not bad but honestly everything else was horrible. Do not recommend, especially if you have a late check in. Still have 2 pending charges on my account but was told one would fall off. This was due to a system error. Hopefully it does. We will probably never visit Tupelo again and I am sure they don’t care. I don’t make reviews when I have a bad experience because everyone has bad days but I felt this was warranted.

They are trying… Very strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room. Fairly new, nice looking carpet. We like the exterior access, but the area outside our room was a graveyard for old air conditioners, sinks, and lots of other trash. We were charged a non-refundable pet fee, yet the bathroom floor on the left side of the toilet had a leftover spray of human urine! Other than that important detail, it looked like the staff was trying to keep the room clean and the bed was comfortable. Good coffee and complementary breakfast are offered.

pay a little more and stay somewhere else We checked in at 4:30pm and were given a room on ground level which is what we requested. Opened the door to the room and faced with a strong smell of chlorine. Asked front desk to move us and was told that there were no rooms available on ground level. It was hard for me to believe that all other rooms with king bed were occupied so early in the day. However, we took a room on the second level. No elevator so had to carry suitcases and other items up the stairs which wasn't easy for over-70 year-old to do. The smell in this room was OK. However, there was a guy grilling outside his room just below us and there was a lot of smoke coming up to our walkway. The motel had two ice machines and neither had ice in the evening or the next morning. The room and the entire motel need upgrading.
