Wonderful stay! I stayed in a room with my grandson. We both agreed the hotel was well-named. The room was already cool when we arrived--the outside temperature was 105 so it was nice not to have to wait for the room to cool down. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet. What did I like best of all? The bathroom. I haven't stayed anywhere recently that had such a great bathroom! Instead of a sink separate from the tub/shower and toilet area, it was one room with plenty of space to move around and get ready at either end of the day! What a luxury!!

Good hotel at reasonable rate Good hotel for a multi-night or overnight stay in the area. Reasonably priced in comparison to other comparable-quality motels in town. Linens and furniture in good condition. Bed comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom spacious. Carpet was older, but in good condition. Microwave and good sized microfridge present. WiFi was a decent speed for basic Internet and streaming shorter videos (around 5 Mbps). AC worked well on one of the hottest days on record for Ukiah. Location was not perfect, but acceptable either for visiting town or for passing through on 101. Only two concerns dropped my rating to 4: First, the "hot" portion of the advertised "hot" breakfast consisted of eggs and waffles. No biscuits and gravy, sausage, or bacon. Just scrambled eggs. (And many hotels don't consider waffles as part of a 'hot' breakfast). Second, the check in form indicated a $3 nightly service fee. When I asked about this, the desk clerk flatly told me that it was for "amenities." I had to seek further clarification that he was referring to WiFi as the amenity in question. He also claimed it is advertised online, but I confirmed that it's not (at least on Choice Hotels' website). Ukiah isn't Las Vegas, so it's not appropriate to sneak "amenity fees" onto the folio. And it actually didn't end up on my final receipt, despite having to sign for it at check in. Maybe it's just included in the nightly rate? This is just poor business practice, and confusing since it didn't end up on my final receipt and the clerk was so flat and unempathetic about making me sign for it. Regardless, I would definitely stay again the next time I pass through.

False Advertising: No Pool! (and no refund) The listing showed a picture of a pool and listed a pool among the amenities. When I arrived, the pool had no water in it! I requested a refund as I hadn't even visited the room yet, but no luck. Not even an apology - just a shrug. I left and ended up paying 3x as much at a different hotel because it was last minute. (And 98 degrees out!) Although this was a nonrefundable booking, I felt an exception should have been made since the property did not provide what I paid for: a room at a hotel with a pool. The hotel refused to refund my payment, even after several attempts at negotiation by hotels.com. This is false advertising and should not be tolerated. The CA Business and Professions Code § 17500 says it is a crime to engage in false or deceptive advertising to consumers about the nature of a product or service. It is a misdemeanor offense that carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a fine of up to $2500.00. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. My advice: AVOID.

Good for a Night The Quality Inn is an older hotel. The room was basic. There was only one luggage rack so one of our suitcases took up a chair. There was a decent sized mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom had a small sized toilet. The breakfast included coffee, juice, eggs, sausage, toast, and waffles.

Avoid like the plague! This was a terrible experience. If you are looking for somewhere to rest, dont stay here! It was so dirty. The carpet was filthy and sticky. The doors had dirt and fingerprints so bad that the door was black in places. It smelled horrible. I felt robbed because they charged $360 for 2 rooms!
