Comfort Suites Near Vancouver Mall

A nice spot to stay in Vancouver We reserved this room about an hour before we arrived via the Choice app. Apparently I accidentally booked an accessible room. But Karina hooked us up and upgraded us to a king suite with a whirlpool tub - YAH! After days of driving, that tub sure made us feel better! The room also had a small seating area, which was great given that we were in town to visit family. Bed was comfy, and room was clean. Breakfast was pretty good (Comort & Quality are always hit or miss in this department). Definitely our new go-to hotel when we're in town!

Excellent customer service: return of left behind item My daughter stayed overnight at this hotel during a trip with her high school jazz band. When she returned home she realized she had left her prescription medication in the hotel room. She called the hotel and the person she spoke with confirmed that medication had been found in the room she stayed in and mailed it back to us at no cost. The medication returned to us with a business card for Taylor Adams, general manager and I want to thank Taylor for excellent customer service. Thank you!

Solid Budget Hotel We were in Vancouver for a wedding with everyone staying at the Heathman Lodge which is a mile away. By the time we decided to reserve the Heathman was not available. I looked and found several hotels around the mall and only one mile from The Heathman. I will admit that after looking at some of the reviews I had a bit of hesitation but decided to give the Comfort a try. It's true that the immediate area looks a bit dicey but we never felt threatened by people we encountered around the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean and the entire hotel had most of what you need including the pool and breakfast area. We never ate breakfast as there is a Starbucks nearby. After the first night our closet clothes rod fell down with all of our clothes on it. In addition the drapes needed attention. When I talked with Karina and Taylor at the front desk they assured me that everything would be fixed and apologized for the situation. Stuff happens and how the staff reacts makes all the difference. Taylor even offered to give us some bonus points for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. Throughout the week the staff was terrific always greeting us with a smile and provided a general overall good experience. We had two friends who needed rooms and we brought them over from the Heathman and got two additional rooms. Honestly I thought the staff was nicer at the Comfort than the Heathman and our friends were very happy with switching. A shout out to Angel who is at the front desk in the evening and Jason who takes over during the day were also a delight. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you are looking for a property that won't break the bank. The location is also very good as it's on the mall loop with many restaurants and of course the mall itself.

Do Not Recommend - Please Read We booked a room here through the App, as we are members. Aside from the general location and the surrounding area, including a prominent Adult Shop, we were still planning to stay. (It is a 2 star hotel, and the parking lot and surrounding area certainly reflect that). As noted by many other reviews, the hotel is definitely dirty and appears unkept. What caused us to cancel our Reservation was the pool closure. We forfeited our money to do this, and booked the Best Western Premium right down the road. It is not uncommon for pools to be closed for maintenance, but normally that is noted very prominently by the Hotel. In this case, it was buried under "general policy" on the App. The hotel staff was unwilling to refund our money per their 24hour cancellation policy. We still feel like we made a much better decision to go a few extra miles down the road, forfeit our money and pay a duplicate evening for a much nicer hotel, better customer service, a working pool and a much safer parking experience and surroundings area. It's worth noting that the price was nearly identical. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Best Budget Friendly Hotel This is a budget friendly hotel, and unfortunately there are homeless people camped out in front of the street where the hotel is located. But the hotel is very convenient to the freeway, mall and lots of restaurants. The hotel has lots of security and cameras and I’ve never encountered a problem. The staff that work here are really awesome! Especially Victoria, Carina and the Manager Taylor. They always have a smile and are so helpful! The room itself is very comfortable and has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I’ve never had problems with loud guests. The towels are not the best, but again for a budget friendly hotel, it serves its purpose. The morning breakfast is pretty decent with sausage, eggs, cereal, or waffles.
