The Sleep of Our Dreams; Otherwise Fine We had a room for two nights in the Art Deco wing, which did not quite live up to its name (or the design standards the Nobu name implies), but served us perfectly fine. It was not a spacious room, but my husband and I agreed that the bed had, in all seriousness, the most comfortable mattress either of us had ever slept on. We went as far as checking the tag and looking up where to buy the exact mattress, which it turns out was designed specially for the Nobu hotel chain. In all likelihood it will be our next mattress at home. The unexpected highlight of the trip! The bathroom was a little strange; there was a substantial tub with a hand shower, and then a separate standing shower that was triangular and almost unusably small. You can tell the room, and the entire Art Deco wing, was adapted for the current hotel plan from what must have been a very different previous use. Things are a little crammed together. The staff was fine; not terribly attentive but not outright rude. The location is very good particularly if you are traveling by train, as it is a short walk from the central train station. The airport is a short taxi ride away. Not much to do in the neighborhood, but you can have a pleasant walk and get some good coffee. A walk to the historic downtown is just a little farther than you might like, but the Palace of Arts and Science is a unique sight and there are a few smaller museums of note. It is also a pretty reasonable walk to POLIN through an area of extreme historic importance. The room service (from the Nobu restaurant on the ground floor) was excellent, if a bit overpriced. The quality of fish was very good and the knifework excellent; still a surprise to me in Poland, where I remember visiting the very first sushi restaurant in the entire state of Lower Silesia about fifteen years ago and marveling at the conveyer belt.

Cold Cold! No heating. Room purporting to be 28 degrees! Cold and unfriendly place to stay. A special birthday trip was organised with a high expectation placed upon Nobu branding. Checkin was less than accommodating with no twin room available without paying a $100.00 upgrade. Assigned room had no heating and was cold. After ascertaining this several hours into the stay a twin room was found. The offering was small, the beds child size and the room smaller. Asked to retain the larger bed and we were moved to the room next door. Small room with adjoining door, unnecessary when not travelling with family. Situated above a nightclub music output. Late night young revellers in nearby rooms causing further disturbance clopping around. Bed hopping, loud music, banging, loud voices and a sullied experience akin to a dormitory Amenities not of the expected standard with bathroom soap cheaper than a service station. Staff less than helpful and mostly a regretful stay with a lacklustre birthday experience. Will not repeat. The security receptionist man is the only saving grace. Charming, helpful and a credit to the establishment. It ends there.

Whenever I am in Warsaw, I like come back. This was my fifth or sixth stay at the hotel - and always perfect. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Hotel Excellent hotel although quite a trek to the centre/old town or taxi 10 mins. Top quality modern interior/finish and excellent food. Only negative was that we were refused a drink in the hotel bars after arriving back from dinner at 11.45pm. Very poor for a 5* hotel.
