Comfort Suites Waxahachie - Dallas

Nice comfortable hotel The hotel room was a large suite. The bed was very comfortable. A bit odd maybe that the tv faced the bedroom area and not the sitting area. Breakfast was very good. I had an iron and ironing board provided that I used. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Mostly bad and ugly amenities Stayed at the hotel in May, 2024 Good: 1. Staff is very pleasant and responsive. Think Chickfila level service. 2. Shower head is good Bad: 1. Breakfast coffee is awful. 2. Avoid stairwells; they are disgusting. Lobby area was clean, though. Ugly: 1. Both ellipticals and exercise bike in fitness center are 20+ years old, beyond repair, extremely dangerous to use. Treadmill was the only usable fitness equipment but it only had one speed since it was in need of repair as well. It was also extremely loud to boot. I thought about demanding a refund but staff was too nice to raise a stink. 2. Whenever any lodger near our room used water in their bathroom, a loud, gurgling sound like an enormous coffee maker emanated from our bathroom. The noise is so loud I had to shut the bathroom door to fall asleep. 3. The room smelled moldy and musty. The maid sprayed air freshner on the rug throughout the entire room to disguise the smell but it returned in about 20 minutes. She was very apologetic, but what good did that do? Bottom line: avoid this hotel at all costs. Our rate was $145 and it wasn't worth paying half that rate.

Low Rate Guarantee is a SCAM Choice Hotels (parent company) has HORRIBLE customer service. I booked on their website and then filled out the form for the best rate guarantee. The rate was lower on Priceline, but I like to use the hotel website when I can since the 3rd party booking sites take such a large cut. I received confirmation of filing the form and was told the hotel would follow up within 48 hours to complete the price match. I never heard anything from them, so I tried to follow up. After 7 emails, 2 phone calls and one Instagram message, still no luck getting a response that makes sense or addresses my request - just a bunch of weird copy/paste or AI generated responses that literally make no sense. I am giving up. I canceled my reservation and booked the cheaper rate thru Priceline.

Dirtiest and rudest hotel in Texas! Reserved a room at this hotel. Arrived at 11pm ready to get a good nights rest. Arrived to room to find a handicap room with partial water bottle on the desk and things askew showing someone had been hanging out in there and on the bed. Went down to tell the reception who said they could go remove the water bottle. We asked for another room but they were all used. With it being so late, we stayed and used the bed that looked like it hadn't been used. Apart from the obvious untidiness the dresser was also splattered with what looked like a latte or something. The bathroom mirror was so low that even I (5'1") had to duck to use it. In the morning the breakfast was typical and we noticed how dirty and how unkept the entire place was and morning staff were very rude and unkept. We complained again about the room and were promised compensation by the head manager. After going through various avenues and calls we were finally refunded a whopping $12 in Comfort Suites points. This is not typical of Comfort Suites. We've stayed at many that were nice and clean with very pleasant and professional staff. Just not this one!

Business Stay Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. I use the hotel regularly and have enjoyed the staffs hospitality. They are always attentive to guests needs and all reasonable requests are attended to immediately. I was staying at the hotel with enthusiastic kids next door. I was immediately moved to top floor and to get quiet nights sleep
