Very Basic, but met our needs for a cheap stay in Wichita The Marigold was very basic, and had construction/renovation going on. No breakfast on site. Very polite staff. Rooms were adequate for our needs. We wanted cheap and clean and this met our expectations. We would stay her again.

Wanted to like this place Nice setting, reasonable rates but not again. First night was fine. Following day, baby began screaming in the room next door to us at about 4:00pm. A call to the front desk was met with a perplexed young lady who had been holding/caring for her own infant while working the front desk. My wife recorded the screams and went to the front desk with them. The young child at the front desk was missing... could it been placed in the room next to us for an afternoon nap and left alone? Finally noise stops and not a peep the rest of the day, night and following morning, as if no one was actually in there. Lots of guesses here as to what was going on.... having babies at the work station during work hours is not an approved business practice anywhere and using rooms as a nursery doesn't make sense. But this is a family owned place so who knows. The stories we were told on the phone and in person didn't add up. Any way, this place is definitely an AVOID if you are in the Wichita area. You can do better. Breakfast was not hot unless you make your own waffle. No protein available.

Could have been so much better! We really enjoyed our king bed room overlooking the 15th green and 16th tee on the golf course. While it's obvious this is an older hotel (popcorn ceilings), the room was spacious and comfortable and could easily be modernized. My biggest complaints were with the bathroom. While large, it had an odd layout. Toilet and towels on one end, and a shower with 3 heads tucked at the other end. A sink area was between the two. The light in the shower area kept going on and off, and the exhaust fan was by the toilet, so didn't do a great job removing moisture from the space. Having the towels stashed completely across the bathroom means you must remember to get your towel before showering. We also had an odd incident occur during our 2-night stay. A young child was crying very loudly in the adjoining room for over 30 minutes. We did not hear an adult comforting the child. My husband called the front desk, asking that something be done. The clerk said she'd deal with it and call back. When we heard nothing back, I went downstairs to find out what they'd do only to find the clerk with her child... with my husband telling me the crying suddenly stopped. The clerk told me they'd move us if the problem recurred. Breakfast was marginal. There was a waffle machine, fruit cups, fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, cereal and juice available. Mostly pre-packaged items. We were surprised that there was daily maid service. I would have rated this motel a 4 had we not experienced the incident with the crying child. While the motel was a good value for what we paid, we expect a quiet room wherever we stay.

Excellent service Everyone at the front desk was very helpful when I messed up my reservation. They also allow an early check in which was super helpful since we were attending a wedding at 2 and needed to change our clothes. They were also taking notable Covid precautions. Even with Covid, they still provided several breakfast options. The jacuzzi in the room was a wonderful amenity!
