Surprising But In a Good Way It was my first time staying at a Red Roof Inn and I had no expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised. The room was simple but very clean and tidy, and some care had been taken in the decor. I liked being able to park right outside my door. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Lastly, the people at the desk were friendly in a relaxed way, and helpful. I was left with a pretty strongly positive impression, and I will be looking to stay at Red Roof Inns on my road trips in the future.

Disappointing. This is an old motel that's been re-done by Red Roof, with limited success. It feels old. We expected a fridge and blow dryer - like in most hotels these days. Our room had neither, just a safe (something we don't use). READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR THE EXACT ROOM YOU'RE RESERVING. The price was expensive for what we got - I can only think the convenient location by the freeway is why they can charge what they do. I will say the room's air conditioning worked well, which was very important for the weekend we stayed. The bathroom had a tub. When I dropped something on the floor before we left, it rolled under the bed, and I went to retrieve it. There were empty beer cans under there. Eww.

Eclipse rates high. Service not so. The hotel is a budget hotel. We were there during the Eclipse. The rates far exceeded normal rates. That is no surprise. However, you'd think that for what was charged, the owners would have had at least some service provided. No trash picked up. No clean towels. No soap, etc.

Problematic. We booked a room for three people, for two nights. The coffee pot was set up for one only one cup of coffee, so we ran across the street to Sheetz for coffee. We had enough towels, wash clothes, and pillows for two people. Upon requesting enough to stock us for our three person stay, I was informed that they can't give out extras. As I booked for three people, I explained that they would indeed not be extras. But that conversation was useless. I didn't want to be a Karen, so off to Walmart we went for pillows. The cable TV had no guide channel, and no channel information available in the room. The TV reception was spotty. Customer service was unfriendly, at best. I would give this stay one star, but it is pet friendly, which is why we needed to stay here.

Traveler Beware I don’t normally leave bad reviews but Traveler Beware! Definitely a no go. My room had bed bugs. The first night I had an adult bud bug crawl across my pillow I was able to capture it in a small ziplock and bring it to the night manager, who immediately move me to another room, which is standard. The most disturbing part of the whole interaction was his reply to the supplied specimen was, “Oh, people usually just bring us bad photos or smashed ones.” This hotel KNOWS they have bed bugs. Finding adult bed bugs crawling in the bedding means they have an infestation. We relocated to a different hotel in the area first thing in the morning.
