This hotel was due, and finally got its much needed update. What a happy surprise to see an updated room this trip. I've been staying in Hanes Mall area for several years and ended up moving to one of the newer Hilton properties nearby. Nice to see they revamped this gem. Love the greenway entrance right out the front door- I don't miss too many workouts here.

NON HANDICAP FRIENDLY No Hilton perks, not even as a Diamond member, no handicap accessible. REUBEN the "manager" is rude and bullies women and handicap people. The handicap parking is far from the main door, making it hard to reach if you can't walk. If you use your Hilton App/Digital Key they want you to come down to the front desk and present your ID. I spoke to REUBEN, who has cero compassion for handicap disable women and told me I need to grab my crutches and come downstairs and show him my ID (this was around 8PM).

A Disappointment We have come to expect high quality of Hilton properties. This one was an exception. The bathroom door did not stay open, so we needed to use a shoe to prop it at night. (We used our own nightlight as there was not one.) No soap in the bathroom, no makeup remover wipes, no cups or glasses for drinks in the room. The walk -in shower did not have any shelves to put shower necessities on, so they had to go on the floor. We had a digital key so did not interact with staff. The room was clean, but the bathroom was very small. We had reservations to come back for a wedding in July, but canceled and opted for the Hampton instead. Just a disappointing stay overall.

Nice Hotel We just stayed at this hotel for a trip to Wake Forest University. The hotel is about a 10-15 ride from the university. The Hotel is conveniently located off a major road. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, some are walking distance. The hotel is in the middle of a renovation in the lobby and ajecent conference rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Now for two minor complaints. First, the HVAC is very loud. When it turns on you can't hear the TV if watching and you have to turn the TV volumn up high to hear it. When the HVAC turns off, the TV is then too loud and you need to turn it down. Again a minor point. Second, given the rooms have doors that allow you to enter the room next door, it allows for noise to trave between rooms. We could easily hear the people next door at 6:30 in a.m. talking. If I was paying attention, i could actually hear whtat they were saying. I am not sure what can be done about this, maybe to scatter guests throughout the rooms when the hotel is not full so you are not right next door to an occupied room. Again, overall it was a nice hotel, conveniently located with great staff/service.
