Great business choice The hotel was chosen for us and accomodations were great. Room and bed very comfortable; breakfast was outstanding and not as expected with every choice imaginable for free. There is a pool and gym not used. The place is very clean, staff super friendly. I would use this on a personal basis for future visits to area.

Substandard Hotel With Poor Customer Service (and No Water) Summary: This hotel is poorly managed. Employee morale is low, and a "pass the buck" attitude dominates. Very little is spent on maintenance. Customer service when problems occur is non-existent. Review: My family of five stayed in a suite (2 queen beds plus sofa bed) from 1/29 to 1/1. During our visit, the hotel lost water for approximately 18 hours, from the morning to the evening of 1/30. Not hot water, *all* water. According to the front desk, this was the second time water was lost within a week, the first time being prior to our stay. As a family of five, we were forced to shower at my parent's small home. They are in their 80s, and it was inconvenient for them. Ultimately, we filled a carboy with water so that we could flush the toilet when we returned to the hotel. When we asked about a refund, the front desk seemed to think this was our fault. "Why didn't you go somewhere else or check out?" We were visiting family, and all the other hotels nearby were full. On New Year's Eve, there was no other hotel option. So far, we have not received a refund, even for the affected night. Upon checkout, we were informed that the manager was on-site but could not meet with us because she had to "get herself together." Further attempts to receive compensation have been unsuccessful. Overall, customer service is substandard, and we’ve been treated poorly. This hotel is not well maintained. The wallpaper and tiling in our room were left unrepaired. Instead of a hairdryer, we had an unfinished metal panel where it used to hang. The workout facility hasn't been updated in years. The hallways are splotchy from mismatched paint patches. When my family arrived, there were no clean towels, even though the hotel knew there were five of us. We had to wait until morning (the water did work on the first night of our stay). Based on this, I imagine the cheapest plumber possible was hired, as the job wasn't done correctly the first time. This would explain why they lost water twice. I recommend avoiding this property.

Not what I expect from IHG Wow really one of the worst holiday inns I have stayed in. The pantry shop was empty. Asked for a bottle of water. Was told it was warm. Room was dated. Found a bug in the sink. I stayed here since I needed one more night to earn platinum status. Not sure it was worth it

Go somewhere else Not sure what is going on with this property but we had never had an issue staying here until now and after reading all the bad reviews I’m glad it happened. We are diamond members and guaranteed a room, we booked a room had a confirmation number and the guy at the desk claimed he didn’t have our reservation which happened to be for the jetted tub room made on Dec 4 he claimed it was rented on the 6th, how was someone able to book a room that was already booked Called the diamond hotline, they confirmed we had a reservation in the system. We ended up cancelling and going to the Yorktown which is far better than this place sounds

Filthy dump of a hotel The HIE on Cinema in YORK PA is a filthy dump and my stay there was literally the WORST hotel experience I ever had. No hot water, coffee or towels for the 3 days I stayed there. The manager and staff lied continuously to the guests about the lack of hot water at the hotel. One person was working the kitchen for breakfast with a full hotel and could not possibly keep up. My alarm clock did not work and neither did one of the lights in my bathroom. The hotel refused to give me a receipt for my stay even after 2 email requests for the invoice. Meanwhile, the hotel manager hid in her office in the back of the hotel refusing to address guests' problems. And the corporate folks at IHG were jut as bad, lying to me and refusing to help me get an invoice or a refund for my stay. The IHG website will not let me sign in, even though I am an IHG Rewards member. IHG is arguably the most incompetent, unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. I have filed a charge back request with my credit card company for the FULL cost of my stay at this hole of an HIE hotel. Don't EVER stay at this or another IHG hotel
