Rerouted from Super 8 We were rerouted to this hotel and given a ground floor room. When we returned later that night we discovered the TV didn't work. The clerk couldn't fix it so gave us a second floor room. It was actually nicer but inconvenient for us to move all our stuff. Breakfast was the run of the mill hotel buffet.

Poor quality; cheap doesn't describe it Uncomfortable. Towels were in shreds, stained, and super rough. Not a great stay. Morning check out person was about as friendly as a ice cube. And, I know Choice hotel breakfasts can be better since I've stayed at some in Phoenix--Quality Inn and Comfort Inns. To put it honestly, this stay was just a hair above a hooker hotel I accidently booked in. Just saying.

Cheap and clean but weathered My daughter and I were looking for a cheap, clean and quiet hotel for a late night stop over between San Diego and Tucson. This hotel fit our budget at just over $100 a night. I heard the front desk people say it opened in 2015. It looks much older. I don't believe they've put any money into maintaining it. Our room and common areas were clean, just beat up.

Quality (you keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means) Inn I was forced to stay in this hotel due to availability issues in Yuma. At first glance, the Quality Inn Yuma is what you'd expect...a Quality Inn. But, once you check in - if there's anyone at the front desk - you will be met with carpets that have not been lain since 1982-ish. Your modern electronic key (if it works) will grant you access to a room filled with wonder - the most wondrous being your thoughts of, "I wonder how the h*** did I pick this Hotel California?". While the room attempts to have all the modern conveniences, be sure to note that "modern" translates to "probably bought on eBay during the dial-up era. The linen is quite modern art...ish, although I'm not sure if the stain is on purpose or a result of the most recent porn video filmed. The condition of the hotel is "well-lived"...well not so much well, but it ran its course, and was put up wet. Smells will fill you with wonder and joy...or was that the weed? Unfortunately, I experienced a few hiccups. One traveler apparently thought her room was mine and attempted to gain access several times using her e-key. And then there was the girl down the hall, with her soon to be ex-boyfriend, who felt it necessary to shout (or speak?) loudly enough to wake the dead. At the end of the day, if you're looking for a place to rest your head, this is a place. However, if you're looking to pamper your soul, I would probably recommend "Trixie" down the street. I understand she can lighten your load (and wallet) for much cheaper than Quality Inn, Yuma. Sorry, gotta end this review, as I believe the Fort Knox burglars have settled in upstairs and, apparently, my room contains the federal reserve. which explains the drilling and knocking I'm hearing. UPDATE: So, I'm not sitting on a gold mine. The noise from upstairs was likely the coat hangars being moved.

Wish I Hadn't Wasted My Free Points on This Motel Waited for several minutes before locating a check in clerk. The lobby area was in decent shape, but the hallways looked a little rough. Our room appeared clean enough, but the smoke detector on the ceiling was gone. My husband joked that he hoped we wouldn't have a fire. We'd been on the road most of the day and decided to take an afternoon nap. The AC was very noisy. There was a loud POP followed by a ROAR as it cycled on and off every 5 minutes. We eventually turned it off as we couldn't get to sleep. Shortly after turning that noise off, we heard what sounded like 6 shots outside which again woke us up. We didn't see anything from the window, so went back to bed. Another 10 minutes later we heard a piercing shrill alarm sound that did not quit. I got up, put some clothes on and looked out into the hall. The fire alarm was going off and the lights were flashing, but no smoke. I went back into the room and called the front desk, let it ring for quite some time, but they wouldn't answer. Not knowing if there was really a threat we both got dressed and got our important things together to evacuate the building. My husband has knee issues so we weren't sure how he was going to navigate 3 flights of stairs, assuming the elevator would be out of commission if there were in fact a fire. Just as we got to the door to leave, the alarm went off. No chance we were going to get any sleep now. The night itself was very quiet. As we left in the morning, I went into the breakfast room and picked up two of the "to go bags" for us as my husband waited with our bags by the front door. A staff member came around the corner and accusingly asked if I had another person with me because I wasn't allowed to take two bags for myself. She then saw my husband and guiltily apologized. Seriously, I can't imagine the motels are not saving a ton of money due to Covid by not having to have full breakfast options available. If someone walked away with an extra prepackaged muffin and an apple, would it really be that devastating? I can guarantee it wouldn't have left me with a bad feeling like I'd been accused of doing something wrong. Maybe just some training regarding a "nice" way to say things would be in order. Not sure if we'd give this motel another chance.
