The new Warren Miller film Wintervention is a high-definition action showcase of skiers on extreme terrain in Canada, California, New Zealand, Antarctica, and beyond. On December 11, see the Ryan Humbert Band at their 2nd annual Strung Out for the Holidays benefit concert for the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank, performing Humbert?s originals as well as holiday and radio classics with a special bonus: help him celebrate his thirtieth birthday immediately after the performance with DJs, dancing, and cake in the lobby. For a holiday spectacle that doesn't involve a dog dressed as Santa, scope out the Christmas Under the Stars concert to hear holiday classics sung by the witty British singer Helen Welch, backed by show choirs from Miller South and ETC. The theater is especially excited to present the return of The Festival of Nations, with a family-friendly cultural food tastings, interactive activities, and international performances ranging from Allegro Dance Company?s Italian moves to Irish step dancing to the Native American Lakota Nation Dancers.

The Beach Boys pick up sterling vibrations and mass excitations as Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks share the stage for the first time in more than two decades on their highly anticipated 50th-anniversary tour. One of the most celebrated and influential bands in pop-music history, The Beach Boys entrance fans and baffle meteorologists as their chipper instrumentation and multilayered vocal harmonies evoke endless summers. To commemorate an upcoming album and the half century since their debut LP, Surfin? Safari, changed the musical climate, the SoCal brotherhood hops in their woody to treat the nation's ears to a timeless and diverse catalog of hits. Expect to hear the band?s signature odes to surfing ("Surfin' U.S.A.?), girls ("California Girls"), and girls who surf ("Surfer Girl"), along with more introspective tracks from the baroque-pop masterpieces Pet Sounds and last year's long-awaited Smile. Though The Boys will brandish their own instruments, their wall of euphony will be further bolstered by actor, multi-instrumentalist, and adoptive band uncle John Stamos, as well as members of Brian Wilson's crack backing group, The Wondermints.

The group soars and shines throughout a marathon performance, ranging from turbo-charged rockers such as ?Welcome to the Jungle? and ?Sweet Child O? Mine? through ballads such as ?November Rain.?
