Classes in and near Arlington, VA

To be honest, I'm not new to WIFA, did my pilot's license with them (back then they were still WFC), but hasn't been flying for many, many years. So for me it was more like re-discovery, rather than discovery flight, and my experience may have been unusual. With that in mind, the ground instruction was very short, almost entirely around the plane, and the flying itself was at least 40 minutes (including taxiing to and from the runway). The instructor was great, nice, very experienced and accommodating, took pictures and videos with my phone during and after the flight, and let me steer on the ground and in the air. It was a bit windy and chilly, but overall the weather was good for flying. Still, I recommend going for it on a very empty stomach. It should be pointed out that originally I scheduled the flight for Saturday, and had to reschedule to Wednesday because of bad weather, so this does happen a lot and you should account for such delays. In any case, I highly recommend this activity, it was a lot of fun.

Easy to join, use and start learning. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning another language.

I'm still taking the course but so far it seems very informative and convenient. I'm able to access the course on the go which is a plus. I'm excited to finish it.
