Just because licensed massage therapist and owner Karoline Eubank Marks has worked on the Philadelphia 76ers doesn’t mean you need to be a famous athlete or a mathematically automorphic number to indulge in her services. At Austin ReVital Massage, Karoline and her team perform customized Swedish, deep-tissue, and sports massages on all manner of clients, whether they’re seven-foot tall rebounding machines or white-collar office dwellers. In addition to easing chronic backaches, tension, and headaches with traditional massage services, the team is trained in advanced neuromuscular massage, which allows them to help clients suffering from nerve compression and postural issues.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Don't short change yourself with a 50-minute massage. Feel the difference a full 60 minutes can make. Offered services include Swedish, sports, deep, acupressure, and prenatal. Your therapy session will be professionally customized to allow your body to get the most out of its massage experience.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Salubrious Bodywork literally means promote your health and wellness through bodywork. Massage therapy can be viewed as a powerful complement to your healthcare regimen or as a pick-me-up from your daily grind. Salubrious Bodywork heard your body's cry for help, and offers its hands in service.
What do you love most about your job?
Clients experience relief from their aches and pains after a massage, and that leaves us feeling good. And that more smiles are getting added to the world one massage at a time.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
After a session, one client told me they had struggled with their own body image, and that their experience made them feel more comfortable in their own skin and it changed them. If massage can literally change the way you feel about your body in a positive way, then everyone needs the experience.
It's called the million-dollar stretch. After placing both palms on the hip joint, she slides one hand up the back, and the other hand down the leg––a soothing traction that is a favorite among her massage clients. Jasmine Painter has always loved healing, from her first job selling vitamin and essential oils, to today, working as a fully licensed massage therapist. While Sunlight cascades through her studio's peach curtains, client aches surrender to flowing hot stone therapy, Swedish strokes, and deep-tissue pressure.
