As a certified pain-management practitioner, Doctor of Chiropractic Donovan May welcomes clients young and old into his clinic for personalized chiropractic care. Meetings with the doc begin with a consultation and exam to determine possible causes of maladies such as chronic back or neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and headaches. Next, Dr. May prescribes a series of treatments that may include adjustments, massage, or sleeping on a bed of marshmallows. Though he is adept at handling many kinds of pain, Dr. May specializes in sport-related injuries.

Medical Doctor is the most recognizable of Michel Siegel's titles, but it doesn't describe all of the expertise he possesses. He also holds double board certification as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and an otolaryngologist, a surgeon who works on the head and neck. At his surgical practice, he works exclusively on faces, priding himself on providing natural-looking results to his patients. There, he and his staff also provide B12 injections, laser hair removal treatments, skin peels, face lifts, and free smiles.

Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Abdel Kader Fustok, is a worldly man. A Syrian native, the doctor began an educational journey in 1962 that brought him from Lebanon to France, but it wasn't until after receiving his medical degree in the early 1980s that Dr. Fustok decided to take one more trip across the world. His final destination: Houston. Since 1982, Dr. Fustok—a member of the Texas Medical Association and Rotary International Health Foundation—has contoured bodies at his private plastic-surgery practice, Institute of Cosmetic Surgery. But to stay ahead of the beauty curve, Dr. Fustok relies on noninvasive med-spa treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing and dermal fillers. Outside the office, the doctor's personal publications enlighten the medical world on advanced breast-reconstruction techniques, hair-replacement surgery, and how to outsmart Father Time with a stopwatch and blindfold.

Q&A with Mike Hachey, Owner And Lead Therapist
What are some of your most popular services? Why do you think clients love them so much?
The 60-minute neuromuscular therapy treatment is our most popular service by far. It allows us enough time to assess and treat the clients' main areas of concern, as well as the areas that have been affected by them. Since our treatment is therapeutic in nature, nearly all our clients come to us with some form of muscular pain and/or soreness, and all leave feeling better than when they walked in.
Our primary goal is to alleviate the pain that our clients are in, and then to correct the problem that caused the pain, and finally to teach our clients how to maintain the problem area, as well as their overall muscular health through stretching and semi-regular massage treatments. This can take multiple treatments, as most soft-tissue problems are chronic, but each session leads us closer to solving the issues.
People go to spas to forget about the outside world. How does your decor help create an atmosphere where visitors can unwind?
We have very calming earth tones as the color scheme in our clinic. However, since we are not a day spa, rather a muscle-therapy clinic, our decor is more akin to a high-end doctor's office as opposed to a high-end day spa.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
The most important thing that we need to communicate is that this is a therapeutic massage, designed with the intent to help correct chronic and acute muscle pain and soreness. [It is] not a Swedish oil massage. ... It is our experience, based on the over 3,000 clients we have seen, that this is usually the type of massage therapy people are seeking when they are in pain. If people are just looking for a day of "getting away" or being pampered, we are not the place for that. However, if they are in any kind of muscular pain or discomfort, we are exactly what they need.
