What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I once had an injury which did not seem to heal until I received massage therapy. Not only did it heal, but rapidly. Even old scar tissue began to break up and the pain disappeared.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to make other people feel better all around. Massage has an impact on the person as a whole and not just the physical body.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
I had a client that who had a car accident and was left in a significant amount of discomfort. She said after receiving my massages she can walk without pain and sleep through the night. She chose massage therapy as her treatment rather than physical therapy.

Mykel Hunter, a cohost on WEAA 88.9 FM, praised Blu Beauty Bar Salon and Spa as "the best team of professional stylists I have ever met." The Towson salon and spa backs up that praise with an extensive menu of haircare services, ranging from sew-in and quick weaves to relaxers and silk presses. In addition to haircuts and color, the professional stylists at this multicultural salon nourish strands with moisturizing and restructuring treatments.
The therapists at Mommie Massage Center focus their skills on mothers, expectant mothers, and other women who endure their fair share of stress. Their specialty—prenatal massage—relieves tension in the lower back and hips, where moms-to-be tend to experience the most pain. The therapists also offer foot and leg treatments that can alleviate water retention and reduce the appearance of varicose veins. Often they rely on special add-ons—aromatherapy scents, hot stones—to make the treatments that much more relaxing. In a bit of synergy, Mommie Massage Center is located inside of Little Bo Peep, Inc., where sonographers create 3D ultrasound images that tell mothers if their babies will in fact be born in three dimensions or will simply exist as a straight line on a sliver of graph paper.
