Ignite Yoga’s name mirrors the warmth of its studio, which can reach temperatures of 85 degrees during core-engaging Vinyasa flow classes. However, the name also reflects the spark between Matt and Abbey McClellan, the husband-and-wife duo that helm the studio. With more than 500 hours of teacher training between them, the duo leads group classes in a range of styles, helping students reap benefits from improved balance and flexibility to enhanced body alignment. Their beginner sessions impart foundational techniques, and their heated Vinyasa sessions include modifications for less advanced students, such as yoga mats carved from blocks of ice.

In most cases, a 95-degree room would not be conducive to learning—unless you're attending Balance Yoga Barre's Hot Yoga Flow class. Each session increases blood flow and torches calories while flushing toxins from the body. Through a mix of Pilates principles and high-intensity interval training, participants sculpt long lean muscle mass, burn fat, and increase fitness levels while creating a stronger core and boosting flexibility in a 85- or 95-degree heated room. Those who prefer cooler settings
can opt for Hot Yoga Flow, a blend of many different styles, or barre classes, which incorporate ballet moves along with yoga and Pilates.
Following a series of sports-related injuries, Desirae Penton took up yoga merely as a means to prevent future injuries. In the process, she discovered the mental and spiritual sides of yoga, which led her down the path toward becoming a certified instructor. At Hidden Dragon Yoga, Penton and her fellow staff members help guests discover yoga's ability to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit through a varied class schedule for participants of all experience levels. Some classes focus on core exercises, whereas others emphasize flow between yogic poses; some take place at room temperature and others in high heat.
The instructors at Beyond Yoga encourage awareness of the body on a physical, mental, and spiritual level through yoga classes for participants of all levels. The classes blend elements of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa yoga styles, with content that varies with the time of day—morning classes prepare clients for the day ahead and evening classes help guests unwind and get over their fear of the moon. On certain weekday mornings, instructors lead sessions on a rooftop patio amid an inspiring combination of sunshine and skyline.
