Sure, it might be simple to win a local HORSE tournament, but it takes a little more skill to make it to the big leagues. Fortunately, the team of coaches at Elevate NEXT usher aspiring b-ballers to new heights with summer camps and à la carte training sessions.
It's a new era for Tulane's volleyball program. In December 2015, the program hired a new head coach, Jim Barnes, a Louisiana native who posted two 20-win seasons and two NCAA tournament appearances in his 11 seasons at Baylor. During the summer, Barnes leads volleyball camps alongside his current players and staff of experienced coaches—including Meredith Schamun, who spent time overseas playing professionally in Switzerland and Germany. Assistant Coach Brian Yale, former head coach at UT Pan American and Recruiting Coordinator at Stephen F Austin. Meredith Schamun spent two years at the University of Central Florida.

All Skills camp (students entering grades 4–9): This camp covers basic fundamentals, such as passing, setting, and using the net to catch a fish dinner after practice. Groups are divided by skill level so as to give each participant the best attention.
Elite camp (students entering grades 9–12): This camp offers higher-level training that culminates in a camp-wide tournament. Lessons cover both positional and team training.

This is a recreational league aimed at providing a fun environment for learning and playing the game of basketball. Ultimately, our goal is to strive toward maximizing participants’ potential on and off the court while developing a love for the great team sport of basketball in the New Orleans area.

Boys and girls ages 4–12.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
_ Our leagues are the best way for players to build on their skills and improve their game. The league is designed by our coaches to make players work. Using repetition, drills, and expounding on the fundamentals, Madison Hoopz will bring players together and create solid teams._
What do you love most about your job?
_Players of all abilities are welcomed to attend and can be assured of learning about the game and having a fun-filled time. Every player wants to get better. _
