The certified instructors at Pilates Sculpt Studio forge strong muscles and mind-body connections through the system of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates. Pilates, the son of two gymnasts, devoted his lifetime to studying fitness. He eventually developed his signature Pilates method as a way to help heal old injuries and correct poor postures. Developed by professional dancers and physical therapists, Barre Vivre combines ballet technique with yoga and pilates to create a fitness program designed to tone, shape and sculpt. Each exercise works to lengthen and strengthen muscles rendering a coveted dance-designed figure.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Our routines are progressive, meaning that no workout is going to be the same. You will not learn a routine and each instructor has her own style so your body will always be working on something new with each visit. Our instructors are attentive and will make personal adjustments for your body.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
We operate very close to the dance studio that supports our program and most of our professional dancers found local barre classes lacking in strengthening parts of their body. We listened to our dancers to create a program built to strengthen their bodies in a way that works for all fitness levels.
What do you love most about your job?
We absolutely love our students! Without their strong support and their honest opinions, we wouldn't have been able to pursue our programs. Their families and their patronage has helped us create a strong program that benefits everyone who walks through our doors.
