  • Glow Hawaii Glow
Glow Hawaii Glow is not about how fast you run—it's about how brightly you shine. The 5K race decks out participants in glowing accessories, and encourages them to wear white clothing so that the course's black-lights have a dazzling effect. At every kilometer of the race, a different surprise or obstacle illuminates runners. And, because these areas are "party zones", participants can jog, walk, or dance along on their surfboard, so long as they reflect the celebratory spirit of the event. After the race, an after-party keeps the glow going with music and luminous decorations.

  • 360 Strong
Equipment: We only use functional training tools. Students should bring: This varies depending on which class you attend. Check the website for class requirements. Average class length: 30–60 minutes Number of Staff: 11–25 people Class location: Mix of indoor and outdoor classes Established: 2014 Registration required: Yes Good for beginners: Yes Guests allowed: Yes Parking: Parking lot Pro Tip: Be sure to sign up for all classes and services online, and be aware of our cancellation policies. Q&A with Eden Monteilh, Owner, Trainer, Instructor Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated? We keep our class sizes held to a max number to ensure a personalized experience with plenty of attention and help. Our pride is providing variety, current training methods, creative fusion formats, and amazing trainers/instructors. We also foster a strong community through our Facebook page, and we encourage our clients to interact with each other outside of the gym. To that end, we create teams for obstacle courses and host social events while encouraging a cohesive and supportive environment. Creating relationships helps people stay motivated and connected. Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts? Yes, and its one of the things that sets instructors apart from one another. Our only rule is no explicit music. One of our trainers only plays Reggae in his boot-camps. It's one of the many things that makes our style at 360 unique. What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student? It depends on the class, as far as intensity is concerned. We offer a variety that ranges from high-intensity and muscle-exhausting formats to low-key, gentle formats. But each class is personal: students are noticed and called by name so they know they are important to us. We encourage modifications so that all fitness levels can participate while encouraging people to push beyond their comfort zones. Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover? We are the only facility on the west side of the island that offers functional training and triathlon clinics. Our classes are designed to create a weeks worth of total conditioning from our High Intensity formats, to moderate and no impact formats, Yoga, Pilates and Myofascial Release. We also offer 360 Strong only formats such as Ballet Boot Camp, Run Drill Class, Plyometric Training, Cardi Yoga, TRX Boot Camps and more. If someone comes to us for one week and attends four various classes, they will have been thoroughly trained from head to toe, working dynamically and holistically.
