  • Challenge Nation
Challenge Nation pioneered the urban-adventure race with a race season that includes visits to more than 35 cities across the country. Each scavenger hunt is personalized to the hosting city, exploring its many diverse neighborhoods with a series of clues that would test even the most skilled children's-book detective. The teams?composed of at least two people?vie for a $300 first-place prize. The Amazing Race?style competition rewards quick wits and wise planning over physical fitness, so the best way to prepare is by doing logic puzzles while eating Funyuns and lounging in a La-Z-Boy. The top 25 teams qualify, the top five receiving free entry, to compete in the national championship, which rewards winning teams with a $5,000 cash prize.

  • Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival
The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival strives to induce every reaction from a giggle to a guffaw during its one-day film spree. The festival screens comedic films from across the globe, as well as some that feature cast or crew members from Indiana. Each year, approximately 30 full-length films, shorts, and life-size flipbooks dance across the eager retinas of the audience. The inspiration for the festival, Steve Pearce, was a National Kidney Foundation of Indiana supporter and film lover who passed away from kidney disease in 2009. His family carries on his mission to raise awareness for the disease by appropriating the funds from the festival to NKFI. The NKFI aims to prevent kidney and urinary-tract diseases, improve the well-being of people affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of transplant-ready organs. Together, the film festival and NKFI plan to alleviate these needs, one kidney at a time.

  • Lucas Oil Stadium
Since opening in 2008, Lucas Oil Stadium, a massive brick structure that decorates the southwestern segment of downtown Indianapolis, has hosted Super Bowl XLVI, Big Ten Football Championship Games in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and numerous other events. With a first-of-its-kind SuperFrame retractable roof structural system, Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose facility capable of seating more than 62,000 people. The seven-level stadium, which provides scenic views of the downtown Indianapolis skyline, also boasts 44,000 square feet of exhibit space, two multi-level club lounges and 137 suites. In addition to sampling Lucas Oil Stadium during events that include sporting events, concerts, conventions, trade shows and competitions, visitors can partake of paid one-hour public walking tours offered most weeks throughout the year. Tours generally include visits to the facility’s playing field, an NFL locker room, Lucas Oil Plaza and the press box.

  • Taste of Indy
A pinch of Mediterranean. Equal parts Asian and Greek. A dash of soul for good measure. Though its recipe is far from exact, the Taste of Indy brings a spread of culinary traditions into one single celebration of food. The festival's edible offerings come from more than 30 of the city's most unique restaurants, giving visitors a chance to taste the city without licking the state capitol building. The idea is to promote good food and healthy living, something that the over 18,000 attendees from 2014 can attest to. As a distraction from the non-stop munching, attendees can catch live, local artists playing everything from R&B to reggae, watch chefs share their tricks during interactive demonstrations, and visit family-friendly attractions that keep even the youngest of visitors entertained.

  • Art & Antiques Show
When speaking about the 25th annual show in 2012, Tom Vriesman of the Indiana Design Center did not hesitate to say, “the Art & Antiques Show is the State of Indiana’s premiere show for the design community.” As proof of his words, booths brim with valuable pieces of home décor such as antique china, Oriental rugs, bronze sculptures, and freshly painted works of contemporary art, and live performances by painters and musicians lend a personal touch to a weekend of artistic elegance. In addition to enhancing each lucky buyer’s home, the sale of all these elegant keepsakes and artifacts goes to support the Methodist Health Foundation](http://www.methodisthealthfoundation.org/).

  • Sankt Nikolaus Lauf, LLC
Several times a year, Sankt Nikolaus Lauf embraces exercise, charity, and German heritage by hosting a costume-filled run/walk in the heart of Indianapolis. In the fall months, the race joins forces with GermanFest and invites waves of jovial runners and walkers to don lederhosen for the event. Weeks later, during the St. Nikolaus Festival, hordes of athletes don the traditional scarlet suit and flowing beard of Santa Claus for the Sankt Nikolaus Day Lauf. With numbers pinned to the backs of their seasonal ensembles and the race's starting words “Achtung, fertig, los!” ringing in their ears, racers sprint through the chilly air in pursuit of awards, festival goodies, and funds for charitable foundations.
