Indianapolis Activities

Although Indianapolis is often considered the racing capital of the world thanks to the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 races, Indianapolis activities extend well past watching speeding cars. Topping the list of fun things to do in Indianapolis: visiting the Indianapolis Museum of Art, one of the 10 largest and oldest general art museums in the country. The museum is home to more than 54,000 works from around the world, and the outdoor campus is also a can’t-miss, thanks to the iconic LOVE sculpture and surrounding gardens. The Indianapolis Zoo is also a year-round favorite for families, who give similarly high marks to the Children’s Museum—the biggest institution of its kind in the world, with hundreds of exhibits designed to educate and entertain.
