  • Pumpkin Station
Pumpkin Stations turn pumpkin shopping and family-park excursions into a one-stop trip. Each of the five Pumpkin Station locations houses a variety of family-fun activities, from giant slides and mini-trains to sky fighter rides and carousels. Mission Valley, for instance, enables visitors to get their sea legs with an on-site boat ride, while the El Cajon game zones gives them a place to rest in between activities. No matter the location, families, friends, and groups can stroll through a pumpkin patch to seek out a large, plump gourd to take home and carve into a jack-o-lantern.

  • Nickel City Amusement Center
You've probably heard this phrase before, or at least something to its effect: "Back in my day, that cost a nickel." Decades ago, just about everything ran five cents, from candy bars to bus rides. Of course, anywhere you go today, that simply isn't the case?anywhere, that is, except for Nickel City Fun Center. Nickel City operates almost exclusively on nickels. Inside the 15,000-square-foot space, visitors can play more than 100 games by inserting the coin that features Thomas Jefferson's only selfie. They can top high scores in pinball, zip goals past air hockey opponents, or even conquer ticket-redemption games and trade their paper winnings in for prizes. In addition to all its games, Nickel City also features four Highway 66-themed miniature bowling lanes with automatic scoring and bumpers. The best part: players don't have to wear special shoes or hover above the lanes on a magic carpet?they can just step up and start bowling.

  • Belmont Park
For 90 years, shrieks of delight have sounded from the pinnacle of Belmont Park's Giant Dipper Roller Coaster as it inches toward its 73-foot drop. Closer to the ground, the Tilt-A-Whirl spins at a furious clip and the carousel makes its leisurely rounds. Like the waves breaking on the shores of Mission Beach—located just steps from the park—sheet waves generated by FlowRider and FlowBarrel technology carry boarders across a wave pool's padded surface. An adjacent arcade returns players to civilization with new and old classics such as Guitar Hero and skeeball. In between rides and games, guests take breaks to snack at Belmont Park's myriad boardwalk eateries or browse the goods of nearby shops.

  • Inflatable World
At Inflatable World, a 35-foot slide towers above over 35,000 square feet of space as youngsters cavort among the outdoor park's attractions. Nestled among the soaring slides, including the 40-foot mega slide, bounce domes shelter leaping tykes and obstacle courses challenge adventurers to navigate obstructed terrain. Themed inflatables in the shapes of dragons, pirates, and saber-toothed tigers host open-play participants, as well as parties and fundraisers. Kids can play all day on the attractions, and in-and-out privileges mean they can return later in the day for more fun even if they have to leave for nap time. Inflatable World also rents out its stock for events, features gourmet food trucks on-site, and has watery attractions open during the summer.

  • The Haunted Hotel
Looking for a bit of spookiness to spark a new relationship or bond with friends and family? The Haunted Hotel in San Diego is the place to do just that! The actors at the Haunted Hotel are completely engrossed in their roles- going the extra mile to rend those screams from your lungs. They approach way too close for comfort, which is definitely a point in their favor. The props are insanely realistic, even when viewed in full day, so you’re left to imagine how real they look in the dim, unnerving confines of the hotel while you’re trembling through the halls. It’s Halloween all year 'round at the Haunted Hotel.
