Lakeside has the longest par 5 hole in the state of Kentucky at 651 yards.Lakeside is open year-round except for Christmas Day. The course opens for play 7:30 am until dusk. The 18-hole "Longview" course at the Longview Golf Club facility in Georgetown, Kentucky features 6,559 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.7 and it has a slope rating of 120. Designed by Buck Blankenship, the Longview golf course opened in 1968.

General Burnside Island State Park was named for the sideburn-whiskered Civil War general Ambrose Burnside. Burnside led patrols along the Cumberland River, circling this 400-acre island while on the look out for Confederate soldiers. The completely new renovated golf course at General Burnside Island is located on an Island surrounded by Lake Cumberland in Somerset, KY. Brian Ault, designer of Dale Hollow Lake and Hidden Cove, both recognized by Golf Digest, designed this spectacular layout.
